Mahindra has rolled out its fast charge network in India with two stations now operational on key national highways. The company has begun this network with sites at Hoskote on NH 75 along the Bengaluru-Chennai route and at Murthal on NH 44 near Delhi. The launch marks a step forward for India’s EV charging network as the locations will serve long-distance users on two important travel corridors. The new network forms the starting point of a broader plan to build a large public charging setup under Mahindra’s Charge_IN programme. The rollout is aligned with India’s EV infrastructure goals as the country prepares for wider EV usage supported by shorter charging times and improved access across multiple states.

Mahindra has equipped each site with two 180kW chargers, each offering dual guns to enable charging for up to four vehicles at one time. These chargers can take an EV from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in close to 20 minutes, creating a practical option for users travelling long distances on highways. This capability aims to improve travel flow for drivers who rely on quick turnaround times during inter-city trips.

The Charge_IN network is part of Mahindra’s goal to install around 250 stations with more than 1,000 charging points across India by 2027. The plan moves in step with national targets to improve public charging access and support the shift to electric mobility. The idea behind the expansion is to make EV travel straightforward so owners can use their vehicles for city and highway movement without major delays.
Mahindra has placed the new stations near restaurants, cafes, and other roadside facilities to give drivers a smooth break while their vehicles charge. The network is ready to support Mahindra’s upcoming electric SUVs, including the XEV 9S, BE 6, and XUV 9e, helping these models deliver consistent long-distance range on major routes.

Drivers can find and access the stations through the Me4U app, which also handles the charging and payment process. Users of other EV brands can access the chargers through the Charge_IN by Mahindra app or major aggregator platforms. The open-access setup aims to benefit all EV owners in India by allowing more users to rely on fast charging on long road trips.
