Mahindra's total sales reached 75,901 units in August 2025, showing no significant change from the same month last year. The sales of utility vehicles in the domestic market fell 9% to 39,399 units from 43,277 units in August 2024. Meanwhile, total sales (including exports) amounted to 40,846 units. During April to August 2025, Mahindra delivered solid growth, with SUV sales rising 15% YoY to 2.41 lakh units. Exports also contributed positively, growing 16% in August to 3,548 units and surging 37% over five months to 15,989 units.
Commenting on the sales, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said, 'August witnessed relatively robust demand in the SUV segment amidst anticipated GST rate changes. This month, Mahindra reported 7.4% YoY growth in PV Vahan registrations. In our commercial vehicles segment, Vahan registrations grew by 16% YoY (<7.5T LCV category).'

He also added, 'With the final GST announcement approaching, we consciously decided to bring down the wholesale billing to minimize the stock being carried by our dealers. We look forward to the GST rationalisation, which would be a demand driver through the festive season. Total vehicle sales stood at 75,901 units, marking a flat growth compared to the same period last year, with SUV sales of 39,399 units recording a -9% YoY decline.'
Mahindra remained in the spotlight last month with the debut of its Vision series concepts and the launch of the exclusive BE 6 Batman Edition in India. Initially planned as a 300-unit limited run, surging demand prompted the automaker to increase production to 999 units, all of which were snapped up within just 135 seconds of bookings opening.

The special edition of the electric SUV is priced at Rs 27.79 lakh and has the essence of Gotham with an aggressive, stealth-inspired design. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on September 20, 2025.
