Mahindra hikes SUV prices by up to 2.5 per cent due to rising raw material costs, with revised ex-showroom prices effective from April 6, 2026.

Mahindra has increased prices across its SUV line-up from 6 April 2026, and if you were planning to buy one, you will now have to stretch your budget a bit more. Prices have gone up by up to 2.5 per cent, depending on the model and variant. The company says rising costs of materials like steel and precious metals are the main reason behind this move. It is something we have been seeing across the industry lately, but it still feels like the wrong time if you were just about to make that booking.

The hike applies to popular SUVs like the Mahindra Thar, Mahindra Scorpio N, Mahindra Scorpio Classic and others. Whether you are looking at the base variant or going all in with a top-spec model, prices have gone up across the range. Other carmakers like Tata Motors and MG Motor have already done the same this year.

On average, the increase sits around 1.6 per cent, but it varies depending on what you choose. Some variants see a smaller bump, while others go closer to that 2.5 per cent mark. Mahindra says it is needed to manage rising costs, which is fair, but for buyers, it just means paying more for the same SUV.
If you already have a booking, it is best to check with your dealer. Usually, the final price depends on when the car is delivered. The good part is that the first 40,000 bookings of the Mahindra XUV 7XO are protected from this hike, so those buyers get some relief.
Even with the price increase, demand for these SUVs is still strong. The Thar and Scorpio range continue to have long waiting periods, which says a lot about how popular they still are in the market.
