Maruti Suzuki appoints new MD, CEO for India operations

Maruti Suzuki appointed Kenichi Ayukawa as the new managing director and CEO for its India operations. He will now replace the outgoing MD and CEO, Shinzo Nakanishi. Ayukawa, who has been associated with Suzuki’s European operations, will take over his new responsibility from April 1, 2013.

Nakanishi succeeded Khattar as MD in December 2007 and since then has headed the organisation in India for the past six years and has been part of the company for the past 30 years.
