Price hikes for the Astor SUV have once again been implemented by MG Motor India. In our home market, there are two petrol engines and five variations available for the mid-size SUV, which competes with the likes of the Hyundai Creta as well as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Meanwhile, Toyota recently announced its sales figures for April 2023. The company reported overall sales of 15,510 units last month, including 14,162 domestic dispatches and 1,348 overseas dispatches of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Domestic sales for the firm were 15,086 vehicles in the same period last year. It has resulted in a 6% drop in sales. Unlike last month's sales, the firm saw substantial revenue in March 2023. Its sales increased by 9% year-on-year to 18,670 units. In 2022, the company shipped 17,131 units in the domestic market at the same time. According to the automaker, numerous models such as the Innova Hycross, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Innova Crysta, and the Hilux, among others, allowed it to sustain a strong sales performance in March 2023. Coming back to the latest price hike, the tables below show the magnitude of the hike and the updated ex-showroom prices of all the variants.

MG Astor SUV 1.5 petrol & 1.3 Turbo Petrol Variants: Revised Prices

Notably, the cost of the EX variations remains unchanged. The 1.5-litre petrol engine in the Astor SUV has a manual or automatic transmission and churns out 108bhp of maximum power and 144Nm of peak torque. 

The Astor Turbo powertrain produces 138bhp of maximum power and 220Nm of peak torque and is only available with a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

MG Astor SUV: Exterior and Features

The ZS facelift serves as a design inspiration for the MG Astor. The SUV has a redesigned bumper, complete LED hawkeye projector headlights with boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights, and a striking celestial pattern grille. Additionally, it features heated ORVMs, roof rails, and 17-inch machined alloy wheels inspired by turbines. The SUV's new LED taillamps and redesigned rear bumper with a chrome-accentuated twin exhaust design are located at the back. Five exterior colours are available for the car: Spiced Orange, Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, Candy White, and Starry Black.

The MG Astor comes equipped with a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and connected car technology, as well as a completely digital 7.0-inch instrument cluster, and more. The mid-size Astor is one of the most reasonably priced vehicles with ADAS. The high-tech SUV includes artificial intelligence and level 2 autonomous driving technology. Lane keep assist, lane departure warning, front collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automated emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are among the list of ADAS capabilities. The speed assist system, headlamp control, and blind spot recognition are additional features. These characteristics, however, are not standard; they differ depending on the variation. Prices for the Astor SUV range from Rs 10.52 lakh to Rs 18.43 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
