The MG Astor SUV offers a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine (108bhp/144Nm) with 5MT or CVT, and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol (138bhp/220Nm) paired with a 6-speed AT.

MG Motor has increased prices across several variants of the 2025 Astor SUV, with the hike going up to Rs 19,000 based on the model. The base Sprint 1.5 MT and Select 1.5 MT now cost Rs 18,000 more, while the Shine 1.5 MT and Sharp Pro 1.5 MT have received price bumps of Rs 19,000 and Rs 13,000, respectively. A flat Rs 15,000 increment applies to the Select 1.5 CVT, Sharp Pro 1.5 CVT, and its dual-tone version. All other variants have seen a Rs 17,000 rise. However, the price of the top-end Savvy Pro 1.3 Turbo AT variant remains unchanged. With these revisions, the MG Astor now carries a price tag ranging from Rs 11.48 lakh to Rs 18.55 lakh. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.
Mechanically, the Astor continues with its familiar powertrain options. The base engine is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol unit that produces 108bhp and 144Nm of torque, offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.

The second option is a more potent 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor delivering 138bhp and 220Nm, coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 2025 MG Astor has received several enhancements that elevate its appeal, especially in the mid-range variants. Among the newly available features are traction control, a panoramic sunroof, and a six-speaker sound system that was earlier offered only in the Select variant. The SUV also now includes premium Ivory leatherette upholstery, previously exclusive to higher trims, giving the cabin a more upscale vibe. Additional conveniences include a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, and wireless connectivity for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other notable additions include a power-adjustable driver’s seat with six-way settings, a 10.1-inch touchscreen interface, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, and automatic air conditioning.
On the safety front, the Astor packs in hill-start and descent control, electronic stability control (ESC), six airbags, and ABS with EBD. It also comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure alerts, and forward collision warnings, offering enhanced driver support.

The MG Astor continues to compete in the compact SUV segment, locking horns with models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
