New updated Google Maps lets you discover your city like never before

The new Google Maps version is definitely an improvement over the older one as it comes with features that make it more user friendly as it now navigates you in Hindi and lets you save offline maps, apart from other helpful features.

Google has been changing the way people navigate for sometime now and it has been evolving ever since the time it came into existence. The latest developments are not only a driver’s delight, but are also helpful for someone who loves to explore the city without much help from others.

To make things easier for drivers, who are not very comfortable with different English accents, Google now gives you the option to get navigated in Hindi. This support has been added to the existing version for turn-by-turn voice navigation without taking your eyes off the road. This also makes it easy for the driver to understand the directions as they don’t have to concentrate extra hard on what the GPA is trying to say.

Another important addition is the option to save offline maps. This feature is highly useful as the non-availability of network at the time of need can render your phone useless. Simply save and view the offline maps on your phone, which will enable your phone to connect straight to the GPS satellites without worrying about the data plan.

Google Maps now come with a new addition that lets you explore your neighbourhood more easily. You can find hotels, restaurants and other point of interests by clicking ‘exploring’ on the ‘search box’. With one tap, you get all the details, distance and directions to the specified location. Another helpful option is to tap on a particular business, like a pizza delivery place, and you get not only the location but also the contact numbers. This makes ordering a pizza so much more simpler.

Another significant feature is the option to share location without opening a third party app, like WhatsApp, separately. Hold a location on the map to make the dropdown appear, touch the share button and choose the app., this way you can share your location.

Not only has the Google Maps app has got better, but it now offers a lot more helpful features.
