Nexon, Tiago and More Tata Electric Cars' Waiting Period Goes up to 3 Weeks in India

The waiting period for Tata Motors' electric lineup has reached up to three weeks in the country. The EV range of Tata Motors, includes the Tiago, the Nexon, and the Tigor. Let's take a closer look at the recent updates of the homegrown automaker.

Tata Motors offers three electric models in India: the Nexon, the Tiago, and the Tigor. Currently, these electric cars have a waiting period of two to three weeks in the country. In our market, the Nexon, the Tiago, and the Tigor have a starting prices of Rs 14.49 lakh, Rs 8.69 lakh, and Rs 12.49 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom. According to several industry reports, the homegrown carmaker will provide a generational change to the Nexon EV. It will reportedly introduce the facelift version of the Nexon EV in the country soon. Aside from this, the firm provides several enticing benefits of up to Rs 48,000 on some of its models, including the Tata Altroz, the Harrier, the Tiago, the Tigor, and the Safari for June 2023. It should be noted that these benefits apply to models powered by petrol, diesel, or CNG fuels. However, the Punch and the Nexon SUVs, which are Tata Motors' best-selling models, are not now eligible for any discounts.

Tata Nexon, Tiago, Tigor EVs: Waiting Period 

Customers intending to buy an electric car from Tata Motors have to wait around two to three weeks. For starters, Tata Motors' electric range comprises the Tigor, the Nexon, and the Tiago. Recently, the homegrown automaker launched the new Nexon EV MAX XZ+ LUX model at a price of Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Besides this, another 7.2 kW AC Fast Charger variant has also been introduced at Rs 19.29 lakh (ex-showroom) in our market. 

Tata Motors EV Sales May 2023

According to the past month's sales report, Tata Motors is riding on the success of its EV portfolio. In May 2023, the carmaker witness a huge boost in its EV sales. It sold 5,805 units in the past month, which is an increase from 3,505 units in May 2022, registering a 66% growth. Industry reports indicated that the Nexon EV Max, the Nexon EV Prime, the Tiago EV, and the Tigor EV helped the firm in achieving these sales numbers.

Tata Curvv CNG Variant on the Cards for India?

According to several industry reports, Tata Motors will launch the Curvv CNG variant next year. The homegrown manufacturer hasn't made any formal announcement regarding the same as of yet. A sketch design that appeared online has led to this speculation. The latest design depicts a CNG button on the dashboard's climate control panel. For starters, the Curvv will have the electric and ICE powertrains. Industry reports indicate that the electric version of the Curvv will be the first to launch before the ICE-powered variant.
