The Rajmarg Yatra app, developed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), will soon receive a significant update that will help users reduce toll costs when travelling by road. The new feature, which is expected to launch next month, will let travellers enter their points of departure and arrival to obtain a list of routes arranged by distance, duration, and toll price. This update expands the app's capabilities beyond its current features, such as live traffic tracking, toll booth data, and complaint registration, making it a more intelligent tool for trip planning. With clear, comparative insights, the update promotes more economical and efficient route planning, which ultimately helps users make better travel decisions and lower overall trip costs. It is specifically targeted at commercial transport operators and frequent highway users.
According to a senior NHAI official, the Rajmarg Yatra app's upcoming feature will allow users to evaluate and contrast toll costs for different highway routes between two locations, assisting them in choosing the most economical mode of transportation. Users will be able to make more pocket-friendly choices thanks to the feature, which will display toll information for every potential route.

The purpose of this addition is to make long-distance road travel more affordable and to increase the transparency of toll pricing. The Rajmarg Yatra app was first released in 2023, providing a wide range of highway-specific features, such as access to emergency support, information about roadside amenities, and real-time road condition updates. This establishes the app as a convenient and efficient platform for highway travellers.
Alongside the forthcoming Rajmarg Yatra app update, a new expressway link is planned to enhance Rajasthan's road infrastructure. A 67-km road between Bandikui and Jaipur is being finalised by NHAI to provide a smooth link to the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway.
