Ola Electric announced that it has manufactured more than 10 lakh units at its Krishnagiri facility in Tamil Nadu in under four years since production began in 2021. It has also unveiled a special edition of the Roadster X+ to celebrate the achievement. The bike features an eye-catching Midnight Blue paintwork, contrasted by red accents on the seat, rims, and battery pack. It has sustainable design elements like badges made from recycled copper and electroplated bar ends.
The Roadster X+ is offered with two battery options: a 4.5kWh pack with 252 kilometres of IDC range, and a larger 9.1kWh unit with an IDC range of 501 kilometres. It also comes equipped with advanced features such as regen braking, a 4.3-inch colour LCD display, cruise control, three ride modes, and front disc brakes.

Ola has revealed that the 9.1 kWh version of the scooter will use its in-house developed Bharat 4680 cell. According to the automaker, the Bharat 4680 cell, measuring 46mm in diameter and 80mm in height, offers a significant boost in energy density, directly contributing to extended range and enhanced performance. Its larger size reduces the number of cells needed per pack, streamlining production and cutting costs. Additionally, the cell's design offers superior thermal management.
Ola introduced the S1 Pro Sport on Independence Day last month as a more technologically advanced version of its flagship e-scooter. Priced from Rs 1.50 lakh, the S1 Pro Sport is the first electric scooter in India to feature ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).
