After an immensely successful stint at Tata Motors, Pratap Bose will join the Mahindra Group as the new Design Chief.

The cat's finally out of the bag. The Mahindra Group has officially announced that Pratap Bose will join the organisation as the Executive Vice President and Chief Design Officer of its newly formed Global Design organisation. The organisation in question will comprise the new Mahindra Advanced Design Europe centre (MADE) and the existing Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS). The former is being currently set up in Coventry in the West Midlands, UK, from where Bose will operate.

As for Bose's responsibility, he'll look after the operations of both MADE and MIDS and will oversee design development of an array of vehicle segments, ranging from SUVs (including BEVs), LCV products (under <3.5 T), and Last Mile Mobility (LMM) to large CVs, Peugeot Scooters (France), and Tractors and Farm Machines. Starting 24th June 2021, Bose will report to Rajesh Jejurikar (Executive Director – Auto and Farm Sectors, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd.).

Sharing his thoughts on Bose's appointment, Rajesh Jejurikar said, 'We are at an inflexion point in our Auto & Farm Sectors' growth journey, as we accelerate our transformative initiatives. Our robust pipeline of 23 new products that will be launched in the next five years will bring our design and advanced engineering capability across the automotive, farm equipment, and two-wheeler segments to the fore. Having Pratap on the team will strengthen our design capability, enhance our products, and widen our customer base. We are very excited to welcome him on board and look forward to writing a new chapter in Mahindra’s rich product legacy.'
