TVS Motor saw 16% overall sales growth in April 2025, selling 4.43 lakh units. Two-wheeler sales rose 15%, with 7% growth in the Indian market over April 2024.

TVS Motor Company reported strong sales growth in April 2025, with a 16% year-on-year increase in total sales. The company sold 4,43,896 units, up from 3,83,615 units in April 2024. This rise was mainly led by strong demand in the two-wheeler segment, where sales jumped 15% to 4,30,330 units from 3,74,592 units in the previous year. In the Indian market, TVS two-wheeler sales showed steady growth. Domestic sales rose by 7% in April 2025, reaching 3,23,647 units compared to 3,01,449 units sold in April 2024. This growth shows the brand’s strong presence across different regions in India and a stable customer base for its petrol-powered bikes and scooters.

TVS Motor also saw a sharp increase in exports. Overseas sales grew by 45% in April 2025, with 1,16,880 units shipped compared to 80,508 units in April 2024. This reflects rising global demand for TVS two-wheelers and the brand’s expanding international reach.
Electric vehicle (EV) sales were the highlight of TVS’s performance. The company recorded a 59% rise in EV sales, driven by strong demand for the iQube electric scooter. EV sales climbed from 17,403 units in April 2024 to 27,684 units in April 2025. With growing interest in electric scooters in India, TVS plans to expand its EV range to meet future demand.
TVS Motor has filed a design patent for its first adventure bike, expected to be called the TVS Apache RTX 300. The bike will be based on the new RT-XD4 engine platform, which was first showcased at MotoSoul 2024. While the official launch date in India is still unknown, the patent design matches recent spy images, giving a clear preview of what TVS is preparing for the Apache series.
The TVS Apache RTX 300 will come with a 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This RT-XD4 engine will produce 35bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm.

The engine will be paired with a six-speed gearbox and feature a slip and assist clutch, making it suitable for long rides and tough terrain, a key feature for any adventure motorcycle.
With this model, TVS is set to enter the competitive adventure bike segment in India.
