Range Rover SV price cut by Rs 75 lakh ahead of India-UK FTA rollout. Range Rover Sport SV also gets up to Rs 40 lakh reduction in India.

JLR India has revised the pricing of the Range Rover SV, and this is not a small price cut. The flagship SUV now costs Rs 3.5 crore, ex-showroom, down from Rs 4.25 crore. That is a straight Rs 75 lakh cut, or about 17.7 per cent. For a car at this level, such a drop is significant and clearly timed with the expected changes in import duties under the India-UK trade deal. It also signals how brands are preparing early for policy shifts that could reshape pricing.

The same story continues with the Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two. It is now priced at Rs 2.35 crore, ex-showroom, which is Rs 40 lakh lower than its earlier Rs 2.75 crore tag. That works out to roughly a 15 per cent reduction. Both these updates are already in effect, and importantly, they apply only to the SV variants, which come in as fully built units from the United Kingdom.

Along with the price revision, JLR has also tweaked the equipment list. The Range Rover SV now includes Ultra Metallic paint options in both Gloss and Satin finishes as standard. It is a change that widens the choice for buyers without adding to the cost. For now, JLR India has not indicated any further updates to features or specifications.
In 2025, JLR reduced prices by up to Rs 30.4 lakh across the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport range following GST 2.0 changes. This latest revision is much larger and is directly linked to the anticipated rollout of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement, which was signed in 2025 but is yet to be implemented.
As for the rest of the portfolio, prices remain unchanged. This includes locally assembled models like the standard Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, along with the Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar, and Discovery Sport. The Defender and Discovery also remain unaffected, as both are produced in Slovakia and fall outside the scope of the India-UK FTA.
