Tata Nexon SUV Reaches 5 Lakh Unit Production Milestone in India
The Tata Nexon SUV has attained a 5 lakh unit production milestone in the country. Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the updated version of the model in India. It is expected to get a range of cosmetic improvements.

Tata Motors launched the Nexon SUV in India in 2017. The SUV has been bringing good sales numbers for the carmaker ever since its launch, and now it has finally achieved the 5 lakh unit production milestone in the country – the 5th lakh unit left the assembly line recently at the company's Pune factory. In the domestic market, the SUV locks horns with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Mahindra XUV400, Sonet, and others. Prices for the SUV currently start from Rs 7.80 lakh for the base model and go up to Rs 14.35 lakh for the higher-spec model. All prices are ex-showroom.

Tata Nexon: Key Details
The SUV is available with both petrol and diesel engine options in India. There is a 1.2-litre petrol unit, which delivers 118bhp and 170Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which churns out 108bhp and 260Nm. For transmission, an optional AMT unit and a six-speed manual gearbox are available. In terms of safety, the SUV gets ISOFIX child-seat anchors, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, an electronic stability programme (ESP), and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Other notable features of the SUV include an Android Auto and Apple CarPlay-enabled seven-inch infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, a flat-bottom steering wheel, an air purifier, automatic climate control, cruise control, and more.
According to the firm, 14,769 units of the Nexon were sold in the past month, compared to the 14,315 units in the same month the previous year.

2023 Tata Nexon: India Launch Details
According to market reports, the 2023 Tata Nexon SUV is ready to hit the road shortly with a revised exterior and interior and a more powerful petrol engine. The model has been spotted several times ahead of its launch in India. According to spy shots, the Tata Curvv SUV coupe concept, revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo, will be the foundation of the design and styling of the 2023 Nexon SUV. There is no confirmation by the carmaker yet, but the updated version of the Nexon SUV is expected to go on sale in the country in August 2023.
