Moreover, the Punch SUV has four trim levels: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. Read on to learn more about Punch's engine and feature details.

Tata Punch: Engine Options

Tata Punch Motion View

The Tata Punch's mechanical setup consists of a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine with the option of a CNG kit installed by the manufacturer. The motor can churn out 84bhp of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque in standard mode. When using the CNG option, the unit is modified to produce 72bhp of peak power and 103Nm of maximum torque. There is an AMT unit and a 5-speed manual transmission available to go along with the engine.

Tata Punch: Features Onboard and Rivals

The Punch has a 7.0-inch part-digital instrument cluster (available only in the Creative variant), 16-inch alloy wheels, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, Harman speakers, a sunroof, and Traction Pro, among other features. The Hyundai Exter, which retails for between Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9.06 lakh (ex-showroom), is the primary competitor of the Tata Punch on the market. Apart from the Exter, the SUV also fights off against the Nissan Magnite, the Mahindra KUV100, and the Renault Kiger.

Tata Tiago, Tigor iCNG with AT Launched

In other news, Tata Motors has announced the prices for automatic versions of the CNG-powered Tigor sedan and Tiago hatchback. The Tigor iCNG automatic comes in two variants, with the entry-level XZA model starting at Rs 8.85 lakh and the highest-spec XZA+ version priced at Rs 9.55 lakh. On the other hand, the retail price of the Tiago iCNG automatic hatchback ranges between Rs 7.90 lakh and Rs 8.80 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. It can be had in four different variants: XTA, XZA+, XZA+ DT, and XZA NRG. In addition, the firm has given the models several fresh paint jobs. The Tigor is decked out in a new Meteor Bronze colour option, while the Tiago and the Tiago NRG get Tornado Blue and Grassland Beige shades.

Tata Tiago Tigor I Cng Amt

The same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine will power the Tata Tiago and the Tigor iCNG versions when equipped with the dual-cylinder CNG kit from the brand. Besides the manual transmission, buyers have the choice of a 5-speed AMT unit. Compared to the 85bhp and 113Nm of peak torque produced by the pure-petrol version, the cars' output in CNG mode is lowered to 72bhp and 95Nm. Twin-cylinder technology, which frees up additional cargo space in the Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG AMTs, adds to the vehicles' practicality. Notably, the new iCNG vehicles will provide a remarkable mileage of 28.06km/kg.

Lastly, the feature set of the models comprises amenities such as electrically adjustable ORVMs, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, auto air conditioning, a semi-digital instrument cluster, segment-first dual-cylinder arrangement, and an eight-speaker setup. As for safety, the Tiago and the Tigor iCNG cars come equipped with dual front airbags, a tyre pressure monitor system (TPMS), a rear defogger, and a rear parking camera with sensors. Currently, the company sells the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, and Punch as part of its CNG lineup.
