Tesla has expanded its charging network in India with a new station in Navi Mumbai. The new Supercharger station takes the total number of Tesla charging stations in the country to five. It is located inside Nexus Seawoods Mall, which makes it the company’s first in-mall charging facility in India. The station is located in the B1 parking area and features eight chargers, including four V4 Superchargers that can offer DC fast-charging speeds of up to 250 kW, as well as four AC Destination Chargers with 11 kW output. For those unaware, Tesla currently operates a growing Supercharger network across key cities in India. In Gurugram, charging points are available at DLF Horizon Center and the Tesla Centre, while Delhi hosts a station at Worldmark 3 in Aerocity. Mumbai has a Supercharger at One BKC, alongside the new one in Navi Mumbai. Each of these locations is equipped with four Superchargers.
Thanks to peak charging speeds of up to 250 kW, Tesla’s Superchargers make fast top-ups possible, enabling users to recharge quickly and get back on the road with minimal wait time. In fact, the Tesla Model Y can recover up to 275 kilometres of range in around 15 minutes, which is ideal for long trips and frequent city-to-city travel. The new station in Navi Mumbai plays a key role in expanding Tesla’s footprint in India, offering customers better charging access and boosting confidence in EV adoption.
The Model Y is offered in two trims in India — Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive. The range (WLTP) is up to 500 kilometres for the Standard model and 661 kilometres for the Long Range variant. The top speed stands at 201km/h.
Some of the notable features of the Tesla Model Y are a centrally-mounted 15.4-inch touchscreen unit, an 8-inch rear infotainment screen, reclining rear seats, powered, heated, and ventilated front seats, a dashcam, ADAS, and a 9-speaker sound system. Tesla offers the Full Self-Driving (FSD) package as an optional upgrade, priced at Rs 6 lakh.
The Standard Range variant of the Model Y is priced at Rs 59.89 lakh, while the Long Range variant costs Rs 67.89 lakh. These are ex-showroom prices.
