Toyota Fortuner Waiting Period Now Stands at 8 Weeks in India
As of now, the Toyota Fortuner SUV commands a waiting period spanning from four to eight weeks in the country. The said waiting period is applicable starting from the day of booking in December 2023.

Toyota's Fortuner SUV is well-known for its potent engine, high-end features, and off-road capabilities. Prospective purchasers who intend to purchase this seven-seater SUV will need to wait a few weeks. As of now, the model commands a waiting period spanning from four to eight weeks in the country. The said waiting period is applicable starting from the day of booking in December 2023. Toyota Fortuner: Technical Details
When it comes to mechanical specifications, the Fortuner is available with two different engine options: a 2.7-litre petrol unit and a 2.8-litre diesel mill. As for the power output figures, the diesel engine can produce up to 500Nm of maximum torque and 201bhp of peak power, while the petrol engine is designed to develop 164bhp and 245Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the diesel models also have an optional 4x4 system.
Speaking of the transmission options, the petrol engine is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic or a 5-speed manual gearbox. Furthermore, the diesel unit comes with two transmission options: a 6-speed torque converter automatic or a 6-speed manual. The four-wheel-drive system is only available on the diesel model, while the 4X2 option can only be had with the petrol model. The variant also sports an auto limited-slip differential and a lockable differential.

The Fortuner's aesthetic elements include a wider front grille with less chrome, 18-inch alloy wheels, a muscular bumper, a new fog lamp housing, a faux skid plate on the chin, smaller headlights with LED signature for the DRL, and LED tail lights.

The feature list of the SUV includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, eight-way power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, connected car technology, a powered tailgate, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, LED headlamps with DRLs, hill ascent and descent control, satellite navigation, rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, seven airbags, keyless entry and go, ABS with EBD, traction control, stability control, cruise control, paddle shifters, rearview camera, dual-zone climate control, rear air conditioning, front clearance sonar, and telescopic steering adjustment.

Toyota Fortuner: Price and Market Competitors
On the pricing front, the Toyota Fortuner starts at Rs 33.43 lakh and goes up to Rs 51.44 lakh. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. Regarding rivals in the Indian market, the SUV competes against the Jeep Meridian, the Skoda Kodiaq, and the MG Gloster.
