Toyota sold 30,085 units in the domestic market and 3,667 units overseas. It credited the strong performance to GST reforms and launches of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero & Fortuner Leader Edition.

Toyota recorded sales of 33,752 units overall, which reflects a gain of 7,429 units over the 26,323 units sold during the same month last year. This translates into a healthy year-on-year growth of 28%, underscoring the brand’s reliable market presence. Of the total sales, 30,085 units were sold domestically, while 3,667 units were shipped to international markets.
Toyota attributed this strong performance to a combination of factors, including the government’s progressive GST reforms introduced ahead of the festive season, which helped boost consumer sentiment. Additionally, the recent launches of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero Edition and the Fortuner Leader Edition generated considerable interest among buyers, further supporting the month’s sales growth.

Commenting on the performance, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales–Service–Used Car Business, said ''Following a positive festive season supported by the government’s progressive GST reforms, we continue to witness a strong momentum, with a growth of 19%. The recent introduction of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero Edition and Fortuner Leader Edition has also continued to help us reinforce this growth trajectory, receiving recognition across the country. The innovative initiatives, such as the Drum Tao and the launch of the Toyota experiential museum (TEM) in Bangalore, have been highly appreciated, further strengthening customer engagement and brand connect.'
Toyota India’s lineup features models such as the Glanza, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Crysta, Camry Hybrid, and Innova Hycross. The company operates two major plants. The first plant, running since 1999, produces the Fortuner, Innova HyCross, Crysta, and Legender with an annual capacity of 1,32,000 units. Meanwhile, the second plant, operational from 2010, manufactures Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Camry Hybrid, and Hilux with a 2,10,000-unit capacity.

Luxury models such as the Vellfire and Land Cruiser 300 are imported fully-bulit. On the other hand, the Urban Cruiser Taisor, Glanza, and Rumion are products of a global partnership between Toyota and Suzuki.
