Toyota India has disclosed its sales figures for September 2025, and they show strong momentum with impressive year-on-year growth. The company sold a total of 31,091 units last month, marking a 16% increase compared to the 26,847 units sold in September 2024. Of these, 27,089 units were sold domestically, while 4,002 were exported. Although there was a slight 7.5% month-on-month decline compared to August’s 29,302 units, Toyota’s overall performance remains solid. For the six months spanning April to September 2025, the company recorded sales of 1.85 lakh units, an increase of 14% from 1.63 lakh units sold during the same period last fiscal year.
Commenting on the sales, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, said, ‘Thanks to the landmark GST reforms by the Government of India and the onset of the festive season, market sentiments have been upbeat.’

Right now, our foremost priority is to ensure timely deliveries so that customers can celebrate the festivities in their favourite Toyota, making this season truly special.’
Toyota recently updated the safety features of its popular MPV, the Rumion, in India by making six airbags standard across all variants. This upgrade follows a similar move by its donor model, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, introduced earlier in July. Additionally, the top-end V variant now comes equipped with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The Rumion is available in three trims (S, G, and V) and five colour options: Cafe White, Enticing Silver, Rustic Brown, Iconic Grey, and Spunky Blue. Priced between Rs 10.44 lakh and Rs 13.61 lakh (ex-showroom), the MPV competes directly with the Maruti Ertiga and XL6.
