Toyota India Records 20% YoY Growth in FY 2025-26, Crosses 4 Lakh Sales Mark

Toyota sold 37,194 units in March 2026, registering a 24% year-on-year increase from 30,043 units in the same month last year. Of the total, 35,125 units were sold in the domestic market, compared to 28,373 units a year ago, while exports rose to 2,069 units from 1,670 units. In the financial year April 2025 to March 2026, Toyota posted a growth of 20% year-on-year, with total sales reaching 4.06 lakh units. Domestic volumes surged to 3.67 lakh units from 3.09 lakh units, showing a 19% rise. Meanwhile, exports saw a 41% YoY jump to 38,974 units.

Commenting on the sales performance, Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, 'We delivered a positive performance this financial year, driven by sustained demand across our SUV, MPV, and compact segments. The introduction of new products and customer-centric initiatives during the year further helped position Toyota as a dynamic, technology-driven, and youth-oriented brand.

Toyota has attributed its success in FY 2025–26 to a wide spectrum of factors, including product updates, new launches, and enhanced customer engagement initiatives. The carmaker rolled out new variants and special editions across its portfolio, including the Fortuner, Innova Hycross, and Urban Cruiser range. It Increased focus on safety by standardising six airbags across several models. Moreover, it earned a 5-star safety rating for the Innova Hycross.
