Toyota Innova Hycross Waiting Period Goes up to 14 Months in India

With a total of variants and seven exterior shades, the Toyota Innova Hycross is one of the premium MPV products in the Indian passenger car market. After being put on hold for a while, the Japanese automaker has resumed accepting reservations for the Innova Hycross top-spec models. According to Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), bookings were briefly suspended due to excessive demand. The company concentrated on optimising the production process during the hiatus to resume bookings and reduce the waiting period. Prospective buyers can now place bookings for the MPV's ZX and ZX (O) trim levels again. 

As of August 2024, the waiting period for the high-end Toyota car is up to 14 months (56 weeks). This implies that if you want to bring home an Innova Hycross, you might have to wait longer than a year for the MPV to be delivered after placing your order. There is a 14-month waiting period for the hybrid MPV models. The petrol-powered versions, meanwhile, command a waiting period, reaching up to 7 months (26 weeks).

Toyota Innova Hycross: Engine and Gearbox Options

Mechanically, the car comes with two engine options: a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder strong-hybrid setup. When paired with an e-CVT transmission, the strong hybrid system generates 183bhp, with the engine and motor providing 188Nm and 206Nm, respectively. The petrol-only option, on the other hand, has a CVT gearbox and can produce 173bhp and 209Nm of peak torque. The manufacturer says that the petrol and hybrid variants have fuel efficiency numbers of 16.13km/l and 23.24km/l, respectively.

Toyota Innova Hycross: Variants and Colour Options

The Toyota Innova Hycross comes in six distinct variants: GX, GX (O), VX, VX (O), ZX, and ZX (O). The MPV is offered in both seven and eight-seater configurations. Moreover, there are seven paint job options to choose from: Super White, Attitude Black Mica, Avant-garde Bronze Metallic, Silver Metallic, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Platinum White Pearl, and Blackish Ageha Glass Flake.

Toyota Innova Hycross: Feature Set

The Toyota Innova Hycross is equipped with a wide range of features, including wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, a digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, and ADAS. The car's safety features include airbags, ABS with EBD, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and hill start assist.
