Toyota sold 34,236 units in August 2025, registering a notable 11% increase from 30,879 units sold in the same month last year. Of the total, 29,302 units were sold in the domestic market, while 4,934 units were shipped overseas. Between January and August 2025, Toyota reported total sales of 2.42 lakh units, reflecting a healthy 14% growth over the 2.13 lakh units sold during the same period in 2024. Toyota's growth in India is driven by strong demand for its SUVs and MPVs, especially hybrids. Some of the company's most popular include the Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Glanza, and Fortuner.
Commenting on the sales, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, said, 'We sold 34,236 units in August 2025, maintaining our steady presence in the market, and are encouraged by the continued trust customers place in our cars and services. September will be an important phase for the industry overall, and we will closely observe market trends as they unfold.'

He also added, 'At Toyota, our focus remains on innovating and introducing value-added services through the festive season, with the hope of uplifting customer sentiment and making purchase decisions easier and more joyful.'
Toyota recently updated the Taisor with six airbags as standard. It also introduced a new Bluish Black colour option for the SUV. Priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 13.19 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), the Taisor is available in four core trims: E, S, G, and V. It comes with two engine options, including a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol.

In addition, Toyota launched the new Camry Sprint Edition in India at Rs 48.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The model stands out with its dual-tone finish and matte black highlights on the bonnet, roof, and bootlid. It also features matte black alloy wheels and an exclusive sports package. However, the powertrain remains the same.
