Toyota launched the Rumion MPV for the Indian market with an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh, which is Rs 1.65 lakh more than the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, on which it is based. The seven-seater car has three variants— S, G, and V, and comes in five monotone hues — Cafe White, Rustic Brown, Iconic Grey, Spunky Blue, and Entice Silver. If you want to purchase Rumion this month, then you may have to wait a bit longer than expected. The Toyota car currently has a 20-24 week waiting period from the date of booking. This timeframe, however, varies according to several factors such as colour options, location, variant, and dealership. Interested customers are advised to contact their local dealers to learn more on this matter. The Rumion is distinguished from the Ertiga by the inclusion of new dual-tone alloy wheels, a grille inspired by the Innova Crysta, and trapezoidal fog lamp housings to the bumper. Before making a reservation, let's go through the engine specifications and other features of the Toyota model.
Toyota Rumion: Engine On Work
The heart of the Rumion is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol motor that delivers 102bhp and 137Nm. Transmission duties can be handled by a five-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic. In CNG mode, the same engine produces 87bhp and 121.5Nm while only using a five-speed manual transmission. Regarding fuel efficiency, the claimed mileage for the Rumion CNG is 26.11km/l, while the Rumion petrol has a mileage of 20.51km/l.
Toyota Rumion: Features List
A 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, paddle shifters, automatic climate control, dual front airbags, side airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and more features are included in the Rumion's feature list.
Toyota Rumion: Variants and Prices
As previously stated, the Rumion is offered in three variants: S, G, and V. Except for the G, which is a mid-spec variant, all versions of the Toyota MPV come with an automatic transmission. Furthermore, the factory-installed CNG kit is only available on the entry-level S version. The price of the Rumion begins at Rs 10.29 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.68 lakh. These are ex-showroom prices. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga as well as the XL6 are the two strong market competitors of the Toyota Rumion in the country.
