TVS Motor Company Begins Operations in Italy; to Offer ICE and EV Two-wheelers

TVS already has a market presence in more than 80 countries across Latin America, Asia, and Africa. It is now set to enter Italy and launch select products in both ICE and EV segments.

TVS Motor Company has commenced operations in Italy as a part of its global expansion strategy. Currently, the two-wheeler company sells its products in more than 80 countries across Latin America, Africa, and Asia. It is now set to launch its select electric and ICE two-wheelers in Italy, including the TVS iQube, RR 310, Apache RTR 310, Ronin 250, Raider, NTorq, and Jupiter 125. The Chennai-based company will expand its activities in Italy through its branch office, TVS Motor Italia, led by Giovanni Notarbartolo di Funari. Furnari has vast experience working with automotive brands in Latin America, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Europe, and Italy.

Sharing his thoughts on the expansion, Sharad Mohan Mishra, President and head of Group Strategy, at TVS Motor Company, said '"Our move into Italy is a strategic step towards our global ambitions. Recent Developments

TVS added new base and top-spec models to the iQube lineup in India. The new entry-level model boasts a 30-litre underseat cargo area, a 950W standard charger, a 2.2kWh battery, and a stated range of 75 kilometres. It offers a top speed of 75km/h and weighs 115 kg. At Rs 94,999 (ex-showroom), the e-scooter is the most affordable option in the range owing to its smaller battery pack. Its larger counterpart (the former base model) has a 3.4kWh battery.

Additionally, there are now two variants of the iQube ST: 3.4kWh and 5.1kWh. The former is priced at Rs 1.55 lakh, while the latter retails for Rs 1.85 lakh.
