Venue, Creta and More Help Hyundai Record 11% Increase in Sales in March 2023

Hyundai Motor India has released its sales figures for March 2023. The carmaker has reported an increase of 11% in overall sales in March 2023. Read on below to know more details about its overall sales performance.

Hyundai Motor India reported its sales figure for March 2023. The carmaker registered total sales of 61,500 units in the past month. In the same month last year, it sold 55,287 units only. This represented a cumulative increase of 11% in March 2023. Hyundai further announced that its domestic shipments increased 13% to 50,600 units in March 2023 from 44,600 units in the same month the previous year. On an MoM basis, the firm announced a rise of 7.73% On the other side, exports increased by 1.99% YoY from 10,687 units exported in March 2022 to 10,900 units shipped in March 2023. Further, the carmaker disclosed selling 7,20,565 units overall in the most recent fiscal year, an increase of 18% from 6,10,760 units sold in 2021–2022.

 FY 2023 Sales: What the company has to say?

Sharing his thoughts on the FY 2023 performance, Mr. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer, of Hyundai Motor India Limited, stated, “FY 22-23 has been a phenomenal year for Hyundai Motor India, as we introduced 7 segment-defining products like the all-new Hyundai TUCSON, New Venue, Venue N Line, All electric IONIQ 5, New Grand i10 NIOS, New AURA, and the all-new Hyundai VERNA catering to different segments thus giving a strong push to brand Hyundai amongst New-Age Indian Customers. Despite Global Headwinds, we see momentum in the Indian Auto Industry backed by a strong India Growth story led by Gen MZ.”

Hyundai India's 2023 February Sales

The company announced a total sales of 57,851 units in February 2023, compared to 53,159 units in the same period last year, representing a growth of 8.8%. In the domestic segment, the carmaker reported sales growth of 6.7%. In February 2023, Hyundai recorded domestic sales of 47,001 units. Last year in the same month, it sold only 44,050 units. Moreover, on the export front, the company clocked the highest growth at 19.1%. It exported 10,850 units in February 2023 compared to only 9,109 units in the same month in 2022.
