VinFast Auto India has officially opened its first showroom in the country, located in the Piplod area of Surat, Gujarat. Spread across 3,000 sq. ft., the facility functions as a full-fledged retail and service centre for the brand’s upcoming premium electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7. This dealership launch marks VinFast’s formal entry into the Indian market, ahead of the inauguration of its manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The plant will eventually assemble the VF 6 and VF 7, reinforcing the company’s commitment to local production and its long-term vision for India. As part of its expansion strategy, VinFast aims to establish 35 dealerships across more than 27 cities in the country by the end of 2025.

The compact VinFast VF6 features a coupe-style sloping roofline and measures 4,241mm in length. Key features include a 12.9-inch touchscreen, panoramic glass roof, vegan leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and a ventilated, power-adjustable driver’s seat. Safety highlights include Level 2 ADAS, 7 airbags, and rain-sensing wipers. It comes with a front-wheel-drive setup and two variants: the Eco (174bhp/250Nm) and the Plus (201bhp/310Nm), both powered by a 59.6kWh battery. The WLTP range is 399km for the Eco and 381km for the Plus. The VF6 accelerates from 0–100km/h in 8.89 seconds.

The VinFast VF7 will serve as the brand’s flagship model in India. It is larger than the VF6, measuring 4,545mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,635.75 mm in height. Design-wise, the electric SUV stands out with its V-shaped DRLs, LED headlights, flush door handles, and an aggressive rear diffuser. Inside, the VF7 will come equipped with a host of advanced features such as vegan leather upholstery, PM1.0 air purifier with an ionizer, a panoramic glass roof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and ventilated front seats. As for the safety, the electric SUV has an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, Level 2 ADAS, and seven airbags (including a knee airbag for the driver).
Globally, the VinFast VF7 is available in two variants (Eco and Plus), both equipped with a 75.3kWh battery (usable capacity of 70.8kWh). The Eco variant has a single front-mounted motor that churns out 201bhp of power and 310Nm of peak torque, and a WLTP-certified range of up to 450 km. The Plus variant, on the other hand, features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive with 348bhp and 500Nm and a range of up to 431 km. The 0–100km/h sprint time of the Eco is 9.5 seconds, and the Plus is 5.8 seconds.
Pre-bookings for both models began on July 15 and are available either at showroom locations or via the official website with a refundable deposit of Rs 21,000.
