The company sold a total of 1,089 examples during the period from January to June 2023, as opposed to 818 examples delivered in the same period last year. The sales were largely driven by the popular XC60, representing a 35 percent increase and contributing to 376 deliveries. Besides, the locally-assembled XC40 Recharge EV accounted for 27 per cent of the total sales and contributed to 289 cars being dispatched. Meanwhile, the company is also gearing up to roll out its second electric vehicle for India - the C40 Recharge. Deliveries for the brand-new C40 Recharge are expected to start in September, following its official launch in August 2023.
