Aston Martin has rolled out the new Vantage S as the official FIA Safety Car for F1, making its debut at the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort, where it was called on track three times. The car takes over from the previous Vantage, bringing more power and better handling but more importantly, better track safety tech. The Vantage S is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 671bhp and 800Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.4 seconds and can hit a top speed of 325km/h.
To handle the demands of F1 circuits, Aston Martin has added several aerodynamic tweaks. Bonnet blades help manage heat from the engine, while a full-width rear spoiler improves downforce and stability. The FIA lightbar ensures clear visibility during safety interventions, making the car ready for any situation on track.

Finished in the brand’s Podium Green, the Vantage S mirrors the colours of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team cars. Alongside it, the DBX707 continues to serve as the FIA Medical Car, underlining Aston Martin’s role in both safety and performance in the championship.

Drivers had voiced concerns about the performance of older safety cars, and the Vantage S has been built to address that. With sharper handling and quicker cornering, it offers the pace needed to lead the pack through the most demanding circuits. This upgrade not only makes races safer but also highlights Aston Martin’s engineering expertise and strong presence in global motorsport.
