Luca Marini, factory Honda MotoGP rider, was injured during a crash at Suzuka Circuit while testing the Honda CBR1000RR-R for the 2025 Suzuka 8-Hour race. He sustained a dislocated hip, multiple fractures, and a collapsed lung. Marini is currently hospitalised in Japan and remains under observation. The injury comes at a key moment for Marini, whose contract with Honda ends after the 2024 MotoGP season. With 38 points and a 13th place in the standings, he is Honda’s second-highest rider.
