Yamaha is celebrating its 70th anniversary in style with a retro livery for its four MotoGP riders—Fabio Quartararo, Alex Rins, Jack Miller, and Miguel Oliveira. Taken from the iconic 1999 YZF-R7, the red-and-white hue is a tribute to the iconic World Superbike colour scheme of Noriyuki Haga. The iconic appearance will adorn both the Monster Energy and Prima Pramac M1s at the Dutch Grand Prix, with supporting team kit and rider kit to round out the tribute.
The livery takes inspiration from one of Yamaha's most memorable racing moments—Haga's thrilling 1999 WorldSBK Spanish round win aboard the YZF-R7. That win remains an important part of Yamaha's racing history, and it is a testament to the brand's roots and continued dedication to competition in motorsport globally.

Paolo Pavesio, Managing Director, Yamaha Motor Racing, said: 'Today marked a truly symbolic moment as both of Yamaha’s MotoGP teams united on the grid, showcasing the four MotoGP bikes alongside the iconic 1999 YZF-R7. The powerful visual of the two teams becoming one by using the same livery represents more than just a shared track presence – it reflects our, as of this year, new strategic mindset: we are one and stronger together.'
Fabio Quartararo said: 'Today we were allowed to show the livery we're racing with this Sunday to celebrate Yamaha's 70th anniversary. The special colour scheme is nice, and I think it will make this Grand Prix weekend even more memorable. It adds a bit of extra excitement.'
Alex Rins said:'This GP is a special occasion for Yamaha, and having a fresh livery is always nice! We went all out again matching the leathers, boots, gloves, and helmet to the livery, and I really like the overall look! I hope that the fans also like it.'

With its deep history and lore of close-fought battles, the Assen circuit offers the perfect platform for Yamaha's celebration and racing glory over the years.
