Aprilia SR 160 Exterior Details

There are no exterior changes to speak of. In comparison to the model it replaces, the only visible difference with the SR 160 is the new badging. As for the dimensions, it measures 1,985mm in length, 703mm in width, and 1,166mm in height. It has a ground clearance of 155mm and a kerb weight of 122kg. Meanwhile, the fuel tank capacity at 7-litres, too, remains unchanged.

Aprilia SR 160 Engine & Transmission

As its name suggests, the Aprilia SR 160 now gets a 160cc single-cylinder mill, which is capable of churning out 10.8bhp and 11.6Nm of torque. Having undergone BS-VI compliance, it is now fuel injected. Moreover, it still uses air for cooling and comes mated to a CVT automatic transmission. The Aprilia SR 160 mileage, then, remains largely unaffected from its predecessor.

Aprilia SR 160 Handling

The handling remains to be the forte of the Aprilia SR 160. And, as expected, Aprilia hasn’t tinkered with the cycle parts, so that it remains unaffected. The Aprilia SR 160 new model still uses front telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It is built around a tubular chassis with open single cradle chassis. As for the braking, the front is equipped with a 220mm disc brake while the rear is equipped with a 140mm drum brake. The 14-inch wheels are shod with 120 - 70/14 M/C 61H tyres both at the front and rear.

Aprilia SR 160 Features

On the features front, too, the Aprilia SR 160 new model remains identical to the model it replaces. It continues to get a part-digital instrument cluster, divided into an analogue speedometer and a digital display for other rider-centric information. The headlamp and taillamp both miss out on LEDs. For safety, it continues to get single-channel ABS as standard.
