<p>The TRK 502 and the TRK 502X adventure tourer motorcycles' prices in India have been recently altered&nbsp;by the Italian bikemaker Benelli. Both motorcycles now cost Rs 25,000 more than they previously did. Following the latest hike, the asking price of the 2023 Benelli TRK 502 now stands at Rs 5.85 lakh, whereas that of the Benelli TRK 502X is Rs 6.35 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, India.&nbsp;It is important to keep in mind that costs have increased by about a lakh on the TRK 502 series since the BS6 updated version of the bike&nbsp;was launched&nbsp;in the Indian market&nbsp;with a price tag&nbsp;of Rs 4.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Nevertheless, costs for motorcycles have increased across the board. For those unaware,&nbsp;the Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) facility is located close to Hyderabad, where the model is locally assembled and sold. The TRK 502 range is imported into the nation as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit.</p>

<h2>Benelli&nbsp;TRK 502 Range: Design and Colour Options</h2>

<p>At EICMA 2022, Benelli unveiled the TRK 502 touring motorcycle line. The Benelli TRK 502 will now be offered in Grey, White, Black (new), and Forest Green (new), thanks to the introduction of the new colors. Additionally, there will be four other colour options for the Benelli TRK 502X: Grey, White, Yellow, and Forest Green (new).</p>

<p>Design-wise, the 502 series incorporated blacked-out footpegs, brake and clutch levers, and handguards.&nbsp;A large LED headlight, handguards with aluminum inlays, and a central stand have been fitted to both motorcycles. Both the clutch lever and the upgraded handlebar may be adjusted to provide the optimal riding conditions for each rider. Both ADVs have redesigned hand grips, handy aluminum pawls placed beneath the saddle, illuminated handlebar switchgear, rear-view mirrors with updated designs, and more.</p>

<h2>Benelli&nbsp;TRK 502 Range: Mechanical Specs and Hardware</h2>

<p>A 500cc parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 46Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm and 47bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm is employed by the middleweight adventure tourers. A 6-speed gearbox is mated to the engine.</p>

<p>In terms of hardware, the 502X has adjustable suspension, including front 50mm USDs with a 140mm travel and rear central monoshocks with a 62mm travel.&nbsp;To handle uneven road surfaces, the TRK 502X moreover has an exhaust installed in a higher position than the TRK 502's road-going counterpart.&nbsp;A 260mm diameter disc at the back and a double disc with 2-piston floating callipers at the front of the model provide a strong, controlled, and well-balanced stopping performance. The front 19-inch spoked aluminum alloy rims and the rear 17-inch rims are shod with 110/80 and 150/70 tyres, respectively. The TRK 502 rides on 17-inch aluminum alloy rims with a 120/70-17 front and a 160/60-17 rear tyre. Both motorcycles have a 20-litre tank capacity.</p>

Benelli TRK 502, TRK 502X Prices Hiked in India; Now Starts at Rs 5.85 Lakh

The TRK 502 and TRK 502X's prices in India have been recently altered by Benelli. Both motorcycles now cost Rs 25,000 more than before. Following the hike, the ex-showroom asking price of the 2023 Benelli TRK 502 now stands at Rs 5.85 lakh, whereas that of the Benelli TRK 502X is Rs 6.35 lakh.

<p>A spy shot of the upcoming sports tourer has been doing rounds over the internet. The motorcycle in the picture is said to be the QJMotor’s – Chinese motorcycle manufacturer under the Geely Group – Race 500. The QJMotor (Qianjiang Motor) company is the sister concern of Benelli Motorcycles as both the companies operate under the Geely Holding Group.</p>

<p>Speaking of the sports tourer, QJMotor is expected to unveil its upcoming Race 500 at the 2021 Beijing Motor Show. The motorcycle is based on the same platform as the Benelli Leoncino 500 and could be launched in India.</p>

<p>The styling is very easy on the eyes and there aren’t many cuts and creases that make the motorcycle’s design appear busy. The motorcycle sports no graphics and stickers that complicate the design and the colour white makes the fully-faired Race 500 appear more mature. The all-LED headlamp gets a split design and a fairly tall visor is observed up-front.</p>

<p>Mechanically, the Race 500 could be powered by the Leoncino 500’s 500cc parallel-twin engine. The power figures could be similar as well. Expect the sports tourer to churn out roughly 47bhp and 46Nm of torque. The suspension system and the braking setup could be identical between the two motorcycles. Benelli India could consider launching the 500cc sports tourer in India, as it could directly rival the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and could be a more value for money proposition in our market if priced right.</p>

Benelli Leoncino 500 based sports tourer in the works

<p>Although a little late to join the party, Benelli has now updated its second motorcycle to meet the BS6 emission norms. Benelli brought in the BS6 Imperiale 400 in July 2020, and they have now introduced the cleaner TrK 502. The middleweight adventure tourer has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 4.80 lakh, making it over Rs 30,000 cheaper than before. What remains to be seen is how long Benelli continues with this introductory price.</p>

<p>Changes on&nbsp;the 2021 TrK 502 include&nbsp;new aluminium reinforced knuckle guards, powder-coated handlebar with revised grips and redesigned mirrors. The BS6 TrK now gets a white background for the tachometer and an orange backlight for the digital display. Additionally, the switchgear not gets white backlight as well. Benelli has also revised the seat cushion and made it wider for enhanced comfort.</p>

<p>Powering the TrK 502 is the same 500cc parallel-twin motor that develops 47bhp and 46Nm. The TrK comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. In fact, aside from the aforementioned features and cosmetic updates, everything else about the bike remains largely unchanged. The suspension components are identical – USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties also continue to be performed by twin 320mm discs at the front and a 260mm disc at the rear.</p>

<p>Benelli offers a three-year unlimited kilometres warranty with the TrK 502. The company has only introduced the road-biased version and there is no official confirmation on the 502X as of now.</p>

BS6 Benelli TrK 502 launched, cheaper than before

<p>Benelli is all set to bring in its second BS6 compliant motorcycle – the TrK 502. Spy shots of the motorcycle have already leaked online. Updates to the 2021 TrK 502 include better knuckle guards with an aluminium frame and new mirrors. While the instrument cluster primarily looks unchanged from before, the tachometre now has a white background. Everything else about the instrument cluster including the tell-tale lights and the digital speedometer display remains unchanged. Other changes to the refreshed model include backlit switchgear.</p>

<p>Powering the TrK 502 will be a cleaner, BS6 compliant iteration of the same old 500cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor that should make a similar 47hp and 46Nm. The engine will continue to be paired with a 6-speed transmission. The rest of the motorcycle is expected to be the same. Braking duties are performed by a two 320mm discs at the front and a 260mm disc at the rear. The TrK sits on thick 50mm USD forks at the front and a preload and rebound adjustable monoshock at the rear. While the TrK was previously on sale in two trims – 502 and the off-road focused 502X with the spoke wheels, it remains to be seen if Benelli bring in both the variants once again.</p>
