Benelli TRK 502X Highlights
The TRK 502X is, essentially, the off-road derivative of the standard TRK 502. As a result, the TRK 502X shares the same platform and parts with the TRK 502. The 502X packs a few features like 50mm inverted forks at the front, a 19-inch rim for the front tyre, increased height & ground clearance and different fuel tank decals that sets it apart from the standard TRK 502. Overall, if you are a keen off-roader, you should definitely opt for the TRK 502X over its standard sibling.
As far as the looks are concerned, the TRK 502X is, essentially, a TRK 502 with an added off-road kit. Dimensionally, the off-road spec TRK is 2,200mm in length, 915mm in width and 1,480mm in height. It has a fuel tank capacity of 20-litres, and it weighs 235kg. The ground clearance of the 502X, lastly, is 220mm.
Engine & Transmission
The Benelli TRK 502X, too, comes powered by the same engine as its road-biased sibling. Therefore, it features the same 500cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled mill, which produces 46.8bhp and 46Nm of torque. The fuel-injected engine comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Lastly, the Benelli TRK 502X mileage, too, remains to be in the same league as its sibling, at 20km/l.
The Benelli TRK 502X fulfils its suspension duties from beefy 50mm inverted telescopic forks at the front and a preload plus rebound adjustable monoshock at the rear. The stopping power comes from dual 320mm petal discs at the front and a 260mm disc at the back. The 502X is based on a steel trestle in steel tube chassis. It comes equipped with a 110/80-19 front tyre and a smaller yet wider 150/70-17 rear tyre.
The Benelli TRK 502X new model, unfortunately, does not get any riding modes or other fancy electronics. However, switchable dual-channel ABS is standard across the range. The instrument cluster is a part digital unit, which houses an analogue tachometer and a digital display for the speedometer, odometer, trips and fuel gauge.
