The headlights are sharp, the oversized kidney grille actually works here (yes, really), and the red-over-black combo gives it a properly sporty vibe.</p><p>

<p>Floor it at a traffic light, blink twice, and you’re already flirting with triple-digit speeds. The 3.0-litre in-line six turbo pumps out 369bhp and 500Nm, paired to an 8-speed automatic that does its job with quiet efficiency. BMW claims 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds. We clocked 4.94 seconds.</p><p>

It looks fast standing still, but when it actually gets going, it transforms into something borderline theatrical. Effortless high-speed cruising? Check. Blink-and-you’re-in-trouble acceleration? Also check.</p>
<p>Handling, though, is where things get… interesting. This isn’t a point-and-shoot scalpel like the M340i. And that’s okay. The M440i has its own personality. It gets BMW’s M-differential and holds its line well, but quick direction changes reveal its length and weight. You can feel the chassis working, occasionally flexing, reminding you this is more grand tourer than track weapon.</p><p>

The rear steps out with a graceful, almost theatrical flair, like a perfectly timed dance move. It’s rear-biased AWD, after all, and it knows how to have fun.</p>

<p>Step inside, and the M440i keeps things clean, modern, and driver-focused. No unnecessary drama here, just a well-laid-out cabin with room for four… technically. The 14.9-inch curved touchscreen takes centre stage, complemented by a crisp digital driver’s display and a chunky flat-bottomed M steering wheel that feels spot-on in your hands.</p><p>

You can call it indulgent, extravagant even, but above all, it’s undeniably irresistible.</p><p>

The split headlamp setup remains, but the DRLs are now slimmer and sit higher, while the main lamps stay vertically stacked. The front bumper gets a cleaner layout and the bonnet lines look sharper than before. The illuminated kidney grille is still a talking point, now with horizontal slats replacing the older vertical pattern.</p><p>

The 740 xDrive petrol uses a 3.0-litre inline-six with a 48V mild-hybrid system, producing 406bhp and 580Nm. The 740d xDrive diesel produces 317bhp and 670Nm using the same mild-hybrid setup. Both deliver strong mid-range performance, which suits the character of a car in this class.</p><p>

Both use an 18.7kWh net battery with AC charging of up to 11kW, meaning most city runs can be completed in silence before the combustion engine needs to contribute.</p><p>On the electric side, the BMW i7 range continues with a 112.5kWh battery and DC fast charging of up to 250kW across all variants. The i7 50 xDrive delivers 461bhp and 660Nm with a WLTP range of up to 728km. The i7 60 xDrive pushes output to 551bhp and 745Nm with a WLTP range of up to 727km.</p><p>At the top of the range, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/bmw/i7/">i7</a> M70 xDrive brings 689bhp and up to 1,100Nm, and for a car of this size, those numbers translate into performance that sits well above segment expectations. The updated 7 Series shows the direction BMW is heading, leaning into technology without losing sight of the driving side of things. More screens, more powertrain choice and more performance, but the core brief remains the same: a flagship that works equally well whether you are driving it or being driven.<br><br></p>

In total, the brand has planned to launch 27 products this year.</p><h2>BMW SUVs, LWBs, and EVs</h2><p>The Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) range was a key contributor to the brand’s success in Q1,  registering a strong 38% year-on-year growth with 2,966 units sold. BMW also confirmed that SUVs accounted&nbsp;for 65% of its total car sales in India. In Q1, BMW sold 2,256 long wheelbase cars, representing a growth of&nbsp;23% compared to last year. <p>BMW Group India will increase prices across its entire model range from 1 April 2026, with a hike of up to 2 per cent on ex-showroom prices. Here’s a closer look at this hardcore, track-focused M2 in detail.</p><h2><strong>BMW M2 CS: Exterior</strong></h2><p>The CS version of the M2 set itself apart with a slightly revised grille (with enlarged air inlets), a matte-black front splitter, gold-finished forged alloys (19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear), and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres (track tyres available as an option). The M3 Touring 24H is based on the M4 GT3 EVO and utilises the P58 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine.
