The off-road-focused variant of the brand's flagship Multistrada V4 has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 29.72 lakh. This new variant is called the Multistrada V4 Rally and is available in 2 colour trims.

<p><b><i>The most aggressive iteration of Ducati's flagship adventure tourer has arrived on our shores, although it's got an eye-watering price tag of</i></b>&nbsp;<em><strong>₹31.48 lakh!</strong></em></p>

<p>Ducati India has launched&nbsp;its new flagship adventure tourer, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak,&nbsp;priced at ₹31.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With an&nbsp;electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension, 17-inch rims shod with&nbsp;stickier rubber,&nbsp;a single-sided swingarm, and a new 'Race' riding mode, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is the most aggressive&nbsp;iteration of the Multistrada V4 line-up.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is propelled by the same 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine as the standard version, and it generates 170bhp and 125Nm of torque. The bike's engine has a unique feature that employs rear bank deactivation, by <em>turning off </em>the combustion in the rear cylinder.</p>

<p>To match, and stop, the go of the V4 motor, the&nbsp;braking system of the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak features 330mm discs and Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers, similar to those on the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/multistrada-v4/">Multistrada V4 S</a>. The rear brakes feature a&nbsp;single 265 mm disc and a floating Brembo calliper. Moreover, the Ducati Wheelie Control of the bike has been enhanced with a new approach that delivers better response and more precise control when you twist&nbsp;the throttle wide open.</p>

<p>The bike sports the 'Pikes Peak'&nbsp;look, and it's also&nbsp;inspired by the Desmosedici GP '21 in terms of graphics and colours.&nbsp;It also features numerous carbon fibre components, Akrapovič titanium and carbon exhaust, a two-tone Black and red rear seat with the V4 logo,&nbsp;a low-smoked Plexi screen, and Cornering ABS.</p>

<p>With a price tag of&nbsp;₹31.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the bike is significantly more expensive than the standard Multistrada V4 S, as well as the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/bmw/s-1000-xr/">BMW S 1000 XR</a>,&nbsp;but, then, it's surely loaded with a lot more features. Deliveries for the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak in India&nbsp;will begin in November 2022.</p>

Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak launched in India

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak from Ducati has been launched in India at Rs 31.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is now available for bookings at all Ducati dealerships. The deliveries for the same will begin in November 2022.

<p>It seems that Ducati is on a launching spree. After the Scrambler, Streetfighter V4, updated Panigale V4, and Diavel 1260, the Italian marque has now introduced its flagship ADV&nbsp;– the all-new Multistrada V4 – at Rs 18.99 lakh for the base trim and Rs 23.10 lakh for the V4 S. Ducati has not brought in the V4 Sport to India as yet. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The biggest change in the new Multistrada V4 is the heart. It now comes with a 1,158cc V4 mill, which is good for 168bhp and 125Nm. In comparison, the outgoing Multistrada 1260 made less power at 158bhp but more torque at 128Nm. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed transmission. The Multi V4 also gets a wide variety of electronic aids, including an IMU-based cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, adaptive cruise control, and more. The Ducati ADV will also come fitted with a 5.0-inch colour TFT on the standard trim and a larger 6.5-inch on the V4 S.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Another big change is the chassis and suspension components of the new Multistrada. It now sits on an aluminium monocoque frame instead of the old steel trellis one. The 19-inch front wheel now sits on 50mm USD forks, while the 17-inch rear wheel is linked to a monoshock.</p>

<p>Apart from these changes, the Multistrada V4 has also received some mild cosmetic revisions. The new offering now looks leaner and meaner than the old Multi 1260. Customers can book the Multistrada V4 by paying a minimum amount of Rs 1 lakh.</p>

<p>The Multistrada V4 locks horns with the likes of the BMW R 1250 GS. The German bikemaker has also recently updated its flagship ADV, which now carries a starting price of Rs 20.45 lakh. Interestingly, Harley Davidson has also entered the ADV space with the all-new Pan America. The motorcycle has already been launched at a starting price of Rs 16.90 lakh.</p>

<p>Since after the introduction of the Ducati Panigale V4, there have been endless rumours of the Multistrada with a V4 heart. There have been several spy images and videos of the said motorcycle in the recent past too. Putting an end to all rumours, the Ducati has finally confirmed the Multistrada V4 is in the works and is expected to be launched globally in 2021. Exact details about the motorcycle, however, still haven’t been revealed.</p>

<p>Ducati officially confirmed the Multistrada V4 in a press release celebrating the delivery of the 1,00,000<sup>th</sup> unit. The Italian brand first launched the Multistrada in 2003, and the family has now achieved the 1,00,000-unit milestone. This motorcycle was delivered to Dave Hayward – a German Ducatista, who ordered the motorcycle from the Dusseldorf dealership. The motorcycle has a customised ‘Centomila’ laser marking on the handlebar. Hayward was handed over the keys to his brand new Multistrada by Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali.</p>

<p>The Multistrada has truly evolved over the ages. In 2010, it became the first motorcycle to feature riding modes. In 2015, it featured a variable-timing heart – the Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing). Ducati has not only evolved the Multistrada brand but also brought various versions on offer. In India today, the Italian brand offers as many as five variants of the Multistrada – one 950 and four versions of the 1260.</p>

<p>To ensure that the Multistrada doesn’t lose steam in the wait time for the V4 version, Ducati is likely to bring in the 1260GT. This new variant is likely to come with a radar-based cruise control system.
