Kawasaki Z900RS Highlights
The Kawasaki Z900RS is a naked cruiser bike with classic style, rider support technology, and authentic rider experience. Its powerful engine teems with a comfortable seating posture to provide the enthusiasm to rummage the exciting places of the world.
Let’s delve into the offerings of this retro-themed power bike from Kawasaki.
Kawasaki Z900RS Engine, Specifications, and Performance
Equipped with a 948cc liquid-cooled engine having four inline cylinders, it generates a maximum power of 109.96bhp at 8500 rpm. The utmost torque delivery of this newly launched bike is nearly 98.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. The power generated by the engine is transferred to the drive-train with the help of a six-speed manual transmission system. The transmission is linked with an assist and slipper clutch that offers easy gear-shifting feasibility. With this, the downshifting doesn’t need much focus on the clutch depressing, and clutch depressing also becomes effortless.
The suspension setup of this Kawasaki bike includes 41mm inverted front forks and mono-shock suspension in the rear. It handles the bumps coming in the way of the wheels well. Further, the 17-inch wheels wear a 120mm wide tubeless tyre in the front and 180mm wide in the rear. The wheels have been linked with the 300mm front disc brake and 250mm rear disc brake. This braking setup offers precise stopping power and takes care of speed limiting. It also includes a dual-channel antilock braking system to avoid bike skidding. The ABS helps avoid the wheel locking after the release of the brake lever to avoid skidding.
In terms of dimensions, this 2100mm long and 865mm wide Kawasaki motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1470mm. Its ground clearance is 130mm and saddle height is 835mm while the overall height of the vehicle is 1150mm. Besides, this two-wheeler has been built on a high-tensile steel trellis chassis and it possesses a kerb weight of 215kg.
Kawasaki Z900RS Exterior Elements
With an iconic teardrop fuel tank, it reminds me of the brand’s Z1 bike. Its further design includes an innovative oval-shaped LED headlight, LED tail light, and tail cowl which resemble the Z1. Furthermore, it exhibits a simple and uncluttered exterior engine design, classic-looking spoke-style cast wheels, and dual-dial instrumentation. The metal finish exhaust pipe design emphasizes the presence of the I4 engine. Moreover, the Kawasaki Z900RS flaunts a 3-D brand emblem on the fuel tank and model branding at the belly cowl. It also features a tuck-and-roll single-seat design and circular rear-view mirror design.
Kawasaki Z900RS Features
Let’s start with the first things first, it has been provided with an LCD instrument cluster with two dials. As discussed above, it boasts an analogue-style speedometer dial and a tachometer dial. The LCD screen comes with an easy-to-read negative display; a negative display means white fonts on a dark background. Furthermore, it gets daytime running lights, an automatic headlight-on feature, a low fuel indicator, and a stand-alarm. It also encompasses a Kawasaki traction control system that aids in negotiating slippery surfaces confidently by controlling the traction supply. The traction control system also helps the ABS system in keeping the vehicle skid resistant.
