Kawasaki Z900RS Highlights
The Kawasaki Z900RS is a naked cruiser bike with classic style, rider support technology, and authentic rider experience. Its powerful engine teems with a comfortable seating posture to provide the enthusiasm to rummage the exciting places of the world.
Let’s delve into the offerings of this retro-themed power bike from Kawasaki.
Kawasaki Z900RS Engine, Specifications, and Performance
Equipped with a 948cc liquid-cooled engine having four inline cylinders, this bike generates a maximum power of 109.96bhp at 8500 rpm and an utmost torque of 98.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. The power generated by the engine is transferred to the drive-train with the help of a six-speed manual transmission system linked through an assist and slipper clutch. This slipper clutch system offers the feasibility to downshift the gear without needing much focus on the clutch depressing while the assist clutch offers effortless clutch depressing.
The suspension setup of this Kawasaki bike includes 41mm inverted front forks and mono-shock suspension in the rear, to handle the bumps coming in the way of the wheels. The size of the wheels is 17 inches and they wear tubeless tyres of ‘120/70 - ZR17’ size in the front and ‘180/55 - ZR17’ in the rear. Further, these wheels have been linked with the 300mm front disc brake and 250mm rear disc brake, to take care of vehicle stopping and speed limiting. The braking setup also includes a dual-channel antilock braking system to ensure that the wheels don’t get locked after the release of the brake lever else the bike might skid.
In terms of dimensions, this 2100mm long and 865mm wide Kawasaki motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1470mm, ground clearance of 130mm, and a saddle height of 835mm; the overall height of the vehicle is 1150mm. Besides, this two-wheeler has been built on a high-tensile steel trellis chassis and it possesses a kerb weight of 215kg.
Kawasaki Z900RS Exterior Elements
With an iconic teardrop fuel tank, it reminds me of the brand’s Z1 bike. Its further design also seems to have been inspired by the Z1, be it an innovative oval-shaped LED headlight, LED tail light, or the tail cowl. Furthermore, it exhibits a simple and uncluttered exterior engine design, classic-looking spoke-style cast wheels, dual-dial instrumentation, and a metal finish exhaust pipe design that emphasizes the presence of the I4 engine. Moreover, the Kawasaki Z900RS flaunts a 3-D brand emblem on the fuel tank, model branding at the belly cowl, tuck and roll single seat design, and circular rear-view mirror design.
Kawasaki Z900RS Features
Let’s start with the first things first, it has been provided with an LCD instrument cluster with two dials – an analogue-style speedometer dial and a tachometer dial – as discussed above. The LCD screen comes with an easy-to-read negative display; a negative display means white fonts on a dark background. Furthermore, it gets daytime running lights, an automatic headlight-on feature, a low fuel indicator, a stand-alarm, and a Kawasaki traction control system that aids in negotiating slippery surfaces confidently by controlling the supply of traction to the wheels. The traction control system also helps the ABS system in keeping the vehicle skid resistant.
Kawasaki Z900RS Price and Variants
The Kawasaki Z900RS price falls in the same range as Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS, Ducati Multistrada V2, and Moto Guzzi V85 TT, which are equipped with a bit similar displacement engines. Do visit the price section above to check the most recent Kawasaki bike price.
