In India, however, the bike's availability remains doubtful. Although KTM has been&nbsp;expanding its premium motorcycle range in the country, the RR Track’s highly exclusive&nbsp;production run signifies that it is likely to be primarily reserved for the European market and elite customers. </p>

Track-Focused KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Breaks Cover Globally

The newly unveiled KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track is limited to 100 units globally. It weighs 9 kg less than the street-legal 1390 Super Duke RR.

    2006 was the year when I first started watching MotoGP. It was also the year a certain Dani Pedrosa graduated to the premier class of MotoGP after winning two 250cc and one 125cc championships. Back then, I was a 16-year-old school kid with little understanding of the sport. So, while most of the world rallied behind Valentino Rossi, I found myself drawn to Pedrosa. Maybe it was that striking Repsol Honda livery on the RC211V that caught my eye, or maybe it was the fact that he was blisteringly fast, yet quietly carried the tag of an underdog. Either way, I was hooked.</p>

<p>Over the next decade, that admiration for Pedrosa turned into full-blown fandom. If I remember correctly, one of my earliest Facebook display pictures was an animated image of Pedrosa. He was (and still is) my hero, period!</p><p>

But anyone who’s followed the sport over the past two decades knows that Pedrosa was always a championship contender. More often than not, it was injuries and sheer bad luck that held him back, and not his lack of speed! In many ways, he remains a king without a crown and, undeniably, one of the true legends of the sport.</p>







<p>As an auto journalist, I’ve been fortunate enough to attend several MotoGP races in  Australia, Germany, and Thailand. But all of that came after Pedrosa had already retired. I never got to see his craft in person. In fact, I was supposed to be in Valencia in 2018, at his final race before retirement, and I was genuinely excited, but, as luck would have it, my visa was rejected. Not once, but thrice! Safe to say that one stung.</p><p>But, a couple of weeks ago, things came full circle as I found myself at the Kari Motor Speedway in the company of none other than Pedrosa. Not only did I get to chat with him to my heart’s content, but I was also fortunate enough to ride a race-spec KTM 390 Duke alongside him on this very track! As they say, good things come to those who wait…</p>



<h2>KTM Cup Season 3 Finale</h2>

<p>Pedrosa was in India to attend the final round of Season 3 of the KTM Cup in Coimbatore. For the uninitiated, the KTM Cup is the brand’s customer racing program, featuring three categories – Pro, Women, and Amateur. This season saw participation from over 800 racers across the country, with the top 15 in each category making it to the final round.</p><p>Alongside the main races, KTM India also organised a special media race, giving journalists a taste of the race-bred KTM 390 Duke.</p><p>

<p>Now, having someone like Pedrosa at an event like this might seem like a marketing masterstroke – and to an extent, it is – but for the participants, it meant a lot more. The fact that Pedrosa was present at the track across all three days of racing showed just how involved he was. He conducted an hour-long masterclass for the riders, sharing invaluable insights and technical know-how. If that wasn’t enough, he also joined riders from all categories during the morning practice sessions.</p>

<p>Since I was competing in the media category, I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to follow Dani Pedrosa for just over a lap. Watching him flow effortlessly through corners – while occasionally glancing back to keep an eye on me – was simply surreal, to say the least. It’s a moment that’s forever etched in my memory.</p>

<h2>KTM Cup Season 3 Winners</h2>

<p>After an intense day of racing, Johann Emmanuel emerged victorious in the Pro category, ahead of Mohammed Mikail and Jagadeesh.</p><p>

Karthik R claimed the win in the Amateur category, with Jobin Kharmalki and Aravind S finishing second and third, respectively. Along with their trophies, the winners from each category will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2026 Austrian Grand Prix – an opportunity of a lifetime.</p>

<h2>KTM Cup Season 3 Issues</h2>

<p>While KTM India deserves full credit for organising an exciting racing season and bringing Pedrosa to India, the event wasn’t without its share of criticism. A key concern raised by several participants was the consistency and upkeep of the machinery. As riders across categories shared the same pool of bikes, some experienced noticeable variations in performance between sessions.</p><p>In my own experience, my bike was swapped out multiple times due to crashes and mechanical issues. While I’m nowhere near a professional, I could still feel clear differences between machines. Personally, it didn’t impact my experience too much, as I was there primarily to cover the event. However, it’s easy to sympathise with racers whose results may have been affected by factors beyond their control.</p>



<p>That said, in conversations after the event, KTM representatives assured that rider feedback would be taken seriously, with improvements planned for future editions.</p><p>

KTM Cup Season 3 Finale - Meeting MotoGP Legend Dani Pedrosa

Meeting Dani Pedrosa is one thing, but riding alongside him at the KTM Cup Season 3 finale on a race-spec KTM 390 Duke makes it unforgettable.

<p>KTM India has added new 350cc versions of the Duke and Adventure to its line-up, making the brand’s performance bikes more accessible than before. The new 350 Duke is priced at Rs 2.77 lakh, while the 350 Adventure costs Rs 2.81 lakh, both ex-showroom. That puts them around Rs 62,000 below the existing 399cc models. The main reason is tax. Since bikes under 350cc attract 18 per cent GST, KTM has been able to bring the price down without changing much else. That is lower than the 399cc motor by 4.5bhp and 5.5Nm, but the rest of the package stays more or less the same. Both bikes continue with USD front forks, rear monoshock suspension, TFT display, 320mm front disc, 240mm rear disc and the same chassis as the bigger bikes. Even the styling is unchanged, so unless you know what to look for, it will be hard to tell the 350 and 390 models apart on the road.</p><p>The 350 Duke continues to be the more street-focused motorcycle in the range. It gets an 800mm seat height, 183mm ground clearance and tips the scales at 168kg. The 350 Adventure, meanwhile, is aimed at riders who want to do more touring and rough-road riding. It gets a taller 830mm seat, 230mm of ground clearance, longer-travel suspension and a 19-inch front wheel. Both bikes come with a 14.5-litre fuel tank, which should make them decent long-distance machines too.</p><p>What makes these new bikes interesting is where they sit in KTM’s range. The 350 Duke is around Rs 60,000 more expensive than the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/250-duke/">250 Duke</a>, while the 350 Adventure sits at a similar distance from the 250 Adventure. At the same time, both 350cc models are around Rs 62,000 cheaper than the 399cc bikes. For many buyers, that could make the 350cc bikes the sweet spot in the line-up.</p><p><a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/">KTM </a>has also updated the names of its bigger-capacity models. The old <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/390-duke/">390 Duke</a> is now called the 390 Duke R and is priced at Rs 3.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The 390 Adventure X starts at Rs 3.43 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Adventure S and Adventure R continue higher up the range.</p><p> With these new 350cc models, KTM now has a stronger middle ground for riders who want the look, features and feel of the bigger bikes, but without stretching their budget too far.<br></p>

KTM 350 Duke, 350 Adventure Launched in India; Prices Start at Rs 2.77 Lakh

KTM 350 Duke and 350 Adventure get a 349.32cc engine with 41bhp and 33.5Nm, offering a more affordable alternative to the 390 range.

<p>The 2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR is here, and it is easily the wildest version of KTM’s flagship naked bike yet. Built as a more hardcore, track-focused machine, the new RR sits above the regular <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/1390-super-duke-r/">Super Duke R </a>and R EVO. KTM will build only 350 units worldwide, so this is going to be a rare sight on the road. Compared to the standard bike, the RR is 11kg lighter, tipping the scales at 189kg. <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/">KTM</a> has shaved off the extra weight with carbon-fibre bodywork, a cast aluminium subframe, forged wheels and a lighter lithium-ion battery.</p><h2><strong>2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR: Design &amp; Features</strong></h2><p>Visually, the new KTM 1390 Super Duke RR looks sharper and more aggressive than the regular model. It gets a redesigned LED headlight, a special RR-only paint scheme and winglets mounted on the fuel tank shrouds. These winglets are there to improve stability at high speeds and help keep the front end planted when you are hard on the throttle.</p><p>

There is a new 8.8-inch touchscreen TFT display with a revised layout, along with the Tech Pack as standard. Riders also get track telemetry and a new Beast mode, which lets you fine-tune the traction control, wheelie control and cornering ABS settings. It is the sort of setup that gives experienced riders more freedom to push harder on track without completely turning everything off.</p><h2><strong>2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR: Engine and hardware</strong></h2><p>At the heart of the 2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR is the 1,350cc LC8 V-twin engine with camshift technology. It makes 187bhp and 145Nm of torque and comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and a hydraulically operated slipper clutch. KTM has also thrown in a titanium Akrapovic slip-on exhaust as standard, which helps cut weight and should make this V-twin sound even angrier than the regular Super Duke.</p><p>

Put simply, this thing has all the bits needed to handle fast laps and hard braking.<br></p>

2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Revealed with LC8 V-twin Engine

The 2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR gets a 187bhp V-twin Engine, winglets, premium parts like Akrapovi slip-on exhaust, and a lighter 189kg kerb weight.

<p>KTM has pulled the covers off the new 2027 Freeride E, and the electric off-road machine now gets a proper round of upgrades to make it more capable on the trail. The latest version comes with a new electric motor, a bigger removable battery pack, revised chassis hardware, and updated electronics. KTM continues to position the Freeride E as a lightweight alternative to traditional petrol-powered dirt bikes, but this update makes it far more usable for serious off-road riding. Riders can swap the battery for a fresh unit when needed, making longer off-road sessions more practical. KTM says charging from a regular household socket takes around eight hours for a full charge.</p><p>The Freeride E now sits on a redesigned chrome-molybdenum steel frame paired with adjustable WP XACT suspension. It gets 43mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, with 250mm of travel at the front and 240mm at the rear, giving it the hardware needed for rough trails and jumps.</p><p>Rounding off the package are Eco, Street, and Off-road ride modes, traction control, and a tilt sensor that cuts power if the bike tips over. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear aluminium wheels, uses Braketec disc brakes, and will enter production in Austria before reaching global dealerships in the first quarter of 2025.</p>

The bike gets a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, allowing access to navigation, calls, and music. It also continues to offer cornering traction control and cornering ABS, along with a track mode that includes launch control.</p><p>Engine and performance figures are unchanged as well. The motorcycle is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 45bhp and 39Nm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox, along with a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.</p><p>The chassis and suspension setup remain as before, with a steel trellis frame and a die-cast aluminium subframe. It continues to use adjustable USD forks and a rear monoshock. In the segment, it rivals the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/triumph/speed-400/">Triumph Speed 400</a>, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/tvs/apache-rtr-310/">TVS Apache RTR 310</a>, and <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/husqvarna/vitpilen-401/">Husqvarna Vitpilen 401</a>, with the only change now being a higher entry price.</p>

KTM 390 Duke Price Hiked by up to Rs 42,000 in India

KTM 390 Duke price increased by Rs 40,000 as the brand passes on 40% tax impact to buyers after months of absorbing costs.

<p>KTM has launched the KTM RC 450 in China, entering the 450cc twin-cylinder supersport segment. This new supersport comes from KTM’s tie-up with CFMoto and sits on a shared platform. It gets a 449cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank, producing 56bhp and 39Nm. At 168kg kerb weight, it stays relatively light. Suspension duties are handled by WP Apex USD forks and a rear monoshock, while braking comes from a 320 mm front disc with Bosch dual-channel ABS.</p><p>What stands out is the feature list. The RC 450 gets traction control, a quickshifter, and multiple riding modes through ride-by-wire. There’s also a TFT display with connectivity and even cruise control. These are features riders usually expect on bigger bikes, so seeing them here makes the package feel more complete for both road and occasional track use.</p><p>Pricing in China is set at around CNY 34,999, which is close to Rs 4.7 lakh. That puts it right against bikes like the Aprilia RS 457. But here’s the catch, this version is built around KTM’s China-specific partnership with CFMoto, which means it is unlikely to come to India in the same form.</p><p>For India, KTM is working on a different plan with Bajaj Auto. A new 450cc twin-cylinder platform is already in development and will be used for future RC, Duke, and Adventure models. The next big update for the RC lineup is expected around 2027. Until then, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/rc-390/">KTM RC 390</a> will continue to represent KTM in this space, while riders wait for a new twin-cylinder machine built for our market.</p>

KTM RC 450 debuts in China with a 449cc twin-cylinder engine, sharp design and features. Will KTM launch this new supersport bike in India?

<p>KTM  has revealed the 890 Adventure R Rally for the international markets as a rally-bred, performance-focused machine. The bike is inspired by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing bikes,&nbsp;and as <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/">KTM</a> referred, it benefits from factory-spec suspension, rally-style ergonomics, and high-end hardware. It shares its foundation with the 890 Adventure R, but stands out with serious off-road capabilities. The <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/890-adventure-r/">890 Adventure R </a>Rally will be produced in limited numbers globally. For now, there is no&nbsp;confirmation on its launch in India.     <p><br></p><h2><strong>KTM 890 Adventure R Rally: Engine and Other Features</strong></h2><p>At its heart, the 890 Adventure R Rally has an 889cc parallel-twin engine that churns out a maximum power of 105bhp and 100Nm&nbsp;at 6,500rpm. The rally-inspired KTM motorcycle is fitted with advanced rider aids such as Offroad ABS, Rally Mode, multiple ride modes, Traction Control, and Motor Slip Regulation, all managed through&nbsp;a 5-inch TFT screen with Turn-by-Turn+ navigation. Other details include  factory racing footpegs, an Akrapovič exhaust, a rally seat,&nbsp;and rugged hardware like heavy-duty wheels and carbon tank guards.</p>

The 2026 KTM 890 Adventure R Rally comes equipped with an Akrapovič slip-on exhaust. It stands out with a Red Bull KTM Factory Racing-inspired design. 

<p>KTM India is all set to bring in the 350 Duke and 350 Adventure in mid-April, and this looks like a move that makes sense right now. With the GST rules putting motorcycles above 350cc in the 40 per cent tax bracket, the 390 range has become expensive for many buyers. So KTM has worked around this by reducing the engine capacity from 399cc to 350cc, which brings these new bikes into the 18 per cent tax slab. That means the handling and overall feel should remain familiar. The design will also stay in line with what we already see: sharp, aggressive, and very KTM. The real change is in the engine, where the brand will tweak the bore or stroke to reduce the displacement.</p><p>

But in real-world riding, it should still feel quick and usable. KTM seems to be focusing on keeping the bike engaging without pushing it too far on performance. For daily rides, weekend runs, and even some highway time, this setup should do the job without feeling underpowered.</p><p>The feature list is expected to stay strong. KTM will likely offer ride-by-wire, multiple riding modes, and switchable ABS on both bikes. You should also get the TFT display and LED lighting, so nothing really feels missing here. Even with a smaller engine, the bikes will still carry that premium feel.</p><p>Another important bit is that KTM is not replacing the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/390-duke/">390 Duke</a>. The 350 and 390 Duke will be sold side by side. So if you want something more affordable, the 350 Duke makes sense. If performance is your priority, the 390 Duke is still there. Production for the 350s will take place at the Bajaj Auto plant in Chakan, Pune, and deliveries should begin soon after the April launch.</p>
