<p>The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 gets a new variant, called the Aurora, further expanding the variant line-up comprising Fireball, Stellar, and Supernova variants. Priced at Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), the Meteor 350 Aurora sits between the Stellar and Supernova variants. At this price point, the new variant offers three different colour options, spoke wheels, and an LED headlamp similar to the one found on the Super Meteor 650. One of the biggest highlights of the new bike is that it brings in three new retro colours – Black, Green, and Blue. Its retro appeal is further enhanced by the heavy use of chrome all over the bike, including on the engine case, exhaust system, and headlamp nacelle. It also gets a pillion backrest, a large windscreen, and an LED headlamp, making the Aurora the most affordable vehicle in the model range to offer the LED headlamp as standard – the Supernova variant with the LED unit can be had at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.30 lakh.</p>

<p>Another highlight of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Aurora is the spoke wheels with tube tyres, which is a departure from the Meteor 350's stock black alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. Other bits include Tripper navigation, a deluxe touring seat, and aluminium switch cubes.</p>

<p>There aren't any mechanical changes. The bike retains a 349cc air/oil-cooled engine, which makes 20bhp and 27Nm. Transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension setup comprises 41mm telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, while the braking hardware consists of a single disc at both ends, accompanied by dual-channel ABS. The bike rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels and has a kerb weight of 191 kilograms.</p>

<p>Royal Enfield has also updated its Meteor 350 line-up. Now, the entry-level Fireball is available in three colour options – Yellow, Red, and Black. The new Aurora variant of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been launched in India at Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom). It brings with it spoke wheels, an LED headlamp, and 3 new colours.

The new paint options include Fireball Matte Green, Fireball Blue and Supernova Red. It is to be noted that these paint options are already on offer in India.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Having said that, the Europe-spec model is the same as India with the same design, features, motor and hardware as well. Powering the motorcycle is a 349cc single-cylinder engine that outputs 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of features, the motorcycle gets a modern semi-digital instrument cluster alongside a tripper navigation system that can be used via the Bluetooth feature. It comes with dual channel-ABS as standard as well as LED DRLs. Suspension duties on the new Meteor 350 are handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin-sided shock absorbers at the back. The anchoring setup comprises single discs on both wheels.</p>

<p>The company is also offering a host of customisation options on the motorcycle. This ranges from bar end mirrors to footpegs, tripper navigation, panniers, seats, backrest, engine guards, sump guards and more. In the European market, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/royal-enfield/meteor-350/" target="_blank">Meteor 350</a> will set you back by EUR 4,390 which is roughly Rs 2.79 lakh excluding taxes. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 gets three new paint options in European market

With the new paint options,  the palette on the Meteor 350 in the European market is now the same as the Indian options. Interestingly, it was only a few days back that Yexdi launched two new paint options for the Roadster in India.

<p><b><i>The semiconductor shortage has led to Royal Enfield removing the Tripper-pod as standard from the two motorcycles.</i></b></p>

<p>The Royal Enfield Tripper Navigation pod is no longer offered as standard on the Meteor 350 and the Himalayan. Royal Enfield has taken this step because of a shortage of semiconductors.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/royal-enfield/meteor-350/">Meteor 350</a> has also seen a price reduction of Rs 5,000 because of this removal. The price of the Himalayan, on the other hand, continues to be the same as before. The Meteor 350 is currently priced between Rs 2.01 lakh and Rs 2.17 lakh, whereas the Himalayan is priced between Rs 2.15 lakh and Rs 2.22 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.</p>

<p>Those who do want the Tripper Navigation pod on their bikes can spec it as an add-on when using the custom order configurator. The device, however, continues to be out of stock in that option as well.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/royal-enfield/himalayan/">Royal Enfield</a> has also increased the booking price for its ‘Made-to-order’ or custom order motorcycles from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000. The booking price for regular motorcycles, however, remains at Rs 10,000.&nbsp;All the above-mentioned changes came into effect from May 1, 2022.</p>

<p>The bottom line is that if you want a new Meteor 350 or a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/royal-enfield/himalayan/">Himalayan</a> with a Tripper Navigation pod, you will have to wait. The small unit is quite helpful on highway journeys, for it tells you how far the next turn is. The usefulness of its direction-giving ability in the chaotic urban scenarios of today, however, is another story altogether.</p>

Royal Enfield has removed the Tripper Navigation pod from some of its motorcycles due to the semiconductor shortage. It is still available as an add-on though. The price of the Meteor 350 has also been revamped.
