Thanks to the revised fuel tank and seating position, the overall stance now appears longer than its predecessor. Now it also gets three exhausts in total – two on the right and one on the left. All in all, the 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 is certainly sportier and sharper than the model it replaces.
A huge departure from its predecessor, the Rocket 3 is now edgier, sportier, and snazzier than its predecessor. The overall dimensions conclude 889mm of width and 1,065mm of height. Engine & Transmission
Powering the Triumph Rocket 3 new model is 2,458cc in-line three-cylinder motor that is capable of producing 165bhp (an 11 per cent gain in comparison to its predecessor) and 221Nm of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission.
At the front, the Triumph Rocket 3 gets Showa upside-down forks – adjustable for compression and rebound. At the rear, though, the suspension duties are fulfilled by a preload-adjustable monoshock. For the braking hardware, the bike uses 320mm twin discs at the front and a 300mm disc at the back. The front tyre is 150/80 R17 V in size while the rear is significantly fatter at 240/50 R16 V.
As for the features, the Triumph Rocket 3 gets four riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport, and Rider), traction control, ABS, cruise control, hill hold control, keyless ignition, and ride-by-wire throttle. The instrument cluster is a circular coloured TFT display that shows a multitude of useful information. The rider also has the option to pair his/her smartphone via Bluetooth to the cluster. Keeping in line with the trends, the headlamp and taillamp are both LEDs.
