Features-wise, the new Apache RTR 310 now comes with a Transparent Clutch Cover, Launch Control, Knuckle Guards, Linear and Cornering Drag Torque Control. 

<p>I am used to riding bikes to their absolute limits. That’s how I usually test new products as well, so as to get a quick and accurate idea of what they are capable of. But with the TVS Jupiter, a scooter that I’m using for well over a month now, I’ve found a new, much more enjoyable way to ride. I’m not focused on speed or sharp turns anymore. I mostly use the Jupiter for quick, easy rides around my neighbourhood. And for this kind of riding, the Jupiter is truly excellent. I’m especially impressed by the huge storage space under the seat. It’s made grocery shopping so simple and even fun! It’s a small thing, but it makes daily life much easier.</p><p>
    The 113.3cc engine is very smooth and comfortable at normal speeds. It encourages me to take it easy, and I often find myself taking the longer way home just to enjoy the ride. It’s not about avoiding traffic; it’s about enjoying the journey.</p>
<p>The Jupiter also has a lot of modern features. I haven’t really explored them yet, but it has a digital display, Bluetooth that connects to my phone for navigation and calls/texts, and a charging port in a front storage box. I know these are important to many people, and I’ll talk about them in my next report.</p>
<p>Basically, the TVS Jupiter keeps surprising me. It’s made everyday chores enjoyable. Who would have thought that a simple “family scooter” could make buying milk so much fun? The Jupiter shows that sometimes, slowing down lets you appreciate a vehicle’s true usefulness and charm, which you might miss when you’re always riding at top speed. </p>

The two-wheeler manufacturer dispatched a total of 12.77 lakh units across both domestic and international markets during the April–June 2025 quarter. June 2025 alone contributed about 3.86 lakh units to that tally, reflecting a 20% year-on-year (YoY) rise compared to the 3.22 lakh units sold in the same month last year. Of these, 2.81 lakh units were sold within India, up 10% from around 2.56 lakh units recorded in June 2024.</p><h2>TVS Motor Sales: June 2025</h2><p>Motorcycles drove a substantial share of the growth, with sales rising to 1.89 lakh units in June 2025, 24% higher than the 1.53 lakh units sold in the corresponding month the previous year. <p>TVS Motor Company has generated excitement among the motorcycle community by posting a teaser of a new Apache model on its social media accounts. The teaser is of aggressive-looking LED DRLs, which hint at an even more aggressive and updated look. Based on industry rumours, it could be the 2025 Apache RTR 160 2V or RTR 180 2V, both of which needed a revamp. <p>Mechanically, the teased Apache versions are likely to remain the same. The current engines, the 199 cc single-cylinder engine of the RTR 200 4V and the 159 cc single-cylinder engine of the RTR 160 4V, are likely to be retained. New TVS Apache 160 2V, 180 Motorcycles To Launch Soon; Here's What to Expect

TVS teases a new Apache, likely the RTR 160 2V or 180 2V, with sharp LED DRLs. Expected updates include new features, design tweaks, and added convenience.

<p>I am not going to lie; it is a lot of fun to test mass-market two-wheelers at the ragged edge of their performance potential. It’s addictive, even. But sometimes, it misses the entire point of how they are meant to be experienced in the first place. You see, when we get our hands on these new products during our (often) brief first ride experience, there’s not a lot of time at hand and we need to come up with as precise an impression as possible within that time frame. As a result, the quickest way to achieve this is to go all-out and find their limit to get a good understanding of how the product has been engineered and whether it manages to deliver on its promised goals or intented use. As for the TVS Jupiter from our long-term test fleet, though, I am more than stoked to take it slowly.</p>
<p>It’s been a couple of months with the scooter by now. While it is great to ride – and surprisingly impressive – at the limit, it has mostly been used for quick commutes around the vicinity of my home during the past month. And since I found myself not chasing metrics like cornering abilities, I had time to appreciate things like the large under seat storage which made grocery shopping a breeze. And surprisingly, something that I look forward to at the end of the day. </p>
<p>The 113.3cc engine feels at ease at cruising speeds and as such, taking the long way home has happened more times than I care to count. Speaking of which, the scooter comes with an array of connected tech but honestly, I have had no interest in checking it out just yet. I understand that it could be important for some, so I’ll keep the next report focused on that.</p>
<p>What I did like though, was the follow-me-home feature which, in simple words, means that the headlamps stay on for a bit even after turning off ignition to light your way home from the parking spot. The other convenience highlight is the positioning of the fuel filler cap. It’s not under the seat or at the back of the scooter, but next to you on the left of the inside-apron. This means you don’t have to get off the scooter while refuelling but keep in mind that the operator at the fuel pump has an easier time if he/she is on your left, otherwise there could be an awkward moment of them wiggling their way around to place the nozzle across your laps. Don’t ask me how I know.</p>
<p>But everything aside, the Jupiter continues to impress. I didn’t imagine I would want to spend that few minutes more after a grocery run on a family scooter but here we are. <p>India’s two-wheeler market continued to show strong momentum in May 2025, with leading manufacturers posting robust sales figures. Hero MotoCorp gained the top spot, followed by Honda, TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, and Suzuki, rounding out the list of the five best-selling two-wheeler brands for the month. While Hero led the charts with over 5 lakh units retailed, Honda maintained steady performance despite supply constraints. TVS saw healthy demand driven by its scooter and premium commuter offerings, whereas Suzuki recorded consistent numbers thanks to the popularity of its Access and Burgman models. Bajaj also held strong with its Pulsar and CT series. Together, these five brands dominated India’s two-wheeler space, reflecting evolving consumer preferences and continued recovery in demand.</p><h2>Hero MotoCorp</h2><p>Hero MotoCorp saw a strong recovery in May 2025, reclaiming the top spot in India’s two-wheeler market after a dip in April. Test units indicate a simplified design approach with a traditional key system, revised switchgear, a scaled-down digital display, and styling cues borrowed from the Vida V2.<br></p><h2>Honda</h2><p>Honda secured the second position with a little more than 4.65 lakh units sold, although it faced a 5.47% year-on-year decline and a 3.28% drop compared to April.</p><p>
