Vespa ZX 125 Highlights
The ZX 125 replaces the LX 125 in the Indian market. As an update to the LX 125, the ZX 125 brings in a front disc brake to the equipment list. This resolves the issue of feeble brakes and a lacklustre stopping bite, which we encountered in our time with the LX 125.
Other than that, the ZX 125 is exactly identical to the LX 125, since it, too, sports the same design language, which means it gets liberal dashes of chrome on the tail lamp, side mirrors, chrome-plated grips, engine bay and the edge of the front apron. The scooter looks balanced and every body-panel is painted in a single colour; there are no body graphics except the Vespa Emblem on the side panels and the front apron.
Exterior Details
The ZX 125 is a minimalistic retro-themed scooter that replaces the LX 125. With only some minor changes, the ZX 125 remains dimensionally identically to the LX 125 at 1,770mm long, 690mm wide, and 1,140mm of height. It has a respectable ground clearance of 155mm and it weighs 114kg. The fuel tank has a capacity of 7-litres.
Engine & Transmission
The Vespa ZX 125 features a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that comes mated to a CVT automatic transmission. The engine is good for 9.76bhp and 10.6Nm of torque; the throttle response is quick and the engine feels quite refined even when revved hard. The Vespa ZX 125 mileage, lastly, is rated at 48km/l.
Handling
The Vespa ZX 125 borrows its mechanical hardware from the LX 125. The suspension duties are carried out by an aircraft derived single sidearm at the front and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. The scooter is based on a monocoque full steel body chassis and it rides on 90/100-10 profile rubber at the front as well as the rear. The braking is courtesy of a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
Features
The Vespa ZX 125 new model, for the instrumentation, comprises an analogue speedometer and fuel gauge accompanied by a digital display for the clock. In terms of safety, CBS is standard across the range. The headlamp comes fitted with a halogen bulb while the taillamp is an LED.

The Vespa ZX 125 comes in a single variant. The Vespa ZX 125 price (as of mid-2020) is ₹1.01 lakh for the BS-VI FI variant. The Vespa ZX 125 comes with a standard 2-year warranty from the manufacturer. For the Vespa ZX 125 on-road price, be sure to check our price section.
