2026 Honda CB750 Hornet Globally Revealed with E-Clutch and New Colours

The 2026 Honda CB750 comes with an optional E-Clutch, new dual-tone colours, the same 755cc engine and added tech features for daily use.

<p>I am at a stage in life when a phone call from friends or family means one of two things - either an invitation to a major life event or news of someone’s passing. In such moments, what you need is quiet reliability. And that’s exactly what the Honda Elevate offered - not excellence, but presence.</p>
<p>The Elevate we have is the Signature Black Edition, a variant that looks purposeful but not particularly special. The ‘Black Edition’ emblem on the tailgate and ‘Signature Edition’ badge on the front fender feel like afterthoughts rather than neatly integrated touches. Still, the tall bonnet, massive grille, and sharply cut LED headlamps lend it a confident stance. Other drivers tend to make way without the need for aggressive honking or light flashing - always a welcome trait on Indian roads.</p>
<p>Inside, the spacious cabin proved to be one of the Elevate’s highlights. A recent long drive from Chandigarh to Delhi reaffirmed how roomy and comfortable it feels, with ample headroom and legroom for all passengers. The boot, too, is impressively accommodating - easily swallowing a large suitcase, three cabin bags, and two office backpacks.</p>
<p>The drive experience, however, leaves much to be desired. The 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine feels underpowered and, surprisingly for a Honda, quite noisy. You really have to wring it out to maintain expressway speeds, which gets tiring over time. The vague and notchy gearshifts only add to the frustration, especially in city traffic, where low-speed pickup feels lethargic and you’re constantly rowing through gears.</p><p>
  Ride comfort is acceptable on smooth stretches, but sharp bumps unsettle the rear, which tends to bounce about - not ideal for passengers with sensitive backs. The ADAS suite works well in most cases, offering gentle steering and braking assistance. But in tight city lanes, it can be overly sensitive - even a pedestrian’s sudden flinch can trigger an emergency stop.<br>
  The ‘rhythmic’ ambient lighting with seven selectable colours sounds interesting on paper, but the execution feels cheap. Brightness can’t be adjusted, and the control module is oddly positioned on the dashboard beside the steering column - another afterthought.</p>
<p>One curious observation: after a spell of rain, water pooled on the contoured bonnet and stayed put even at 100km/h. It’s worth keeping an eye out for, as standing water could cause rust over time.</p><p>
  In the end, the Elevate isn’t about flair or excitement. It’s about quiet dependability - a car that doesn’t excel in any one area but never lets you down either. Like a true friend, it’s there when you need it most, and now it’s heading into the next chapter with Shivank, who’s taking it on a road trip to the hills. Let’s see how the Elevate fares when the tarmac turns twisty. </p>

Honda Elevate Long Term Report: Month 1 - A Friend Indeed

In a month of living with the Honda Elevate, its greatest strength has become clear: not performance or flair, but the kind of quiet reliability you can count on without question.

<p>
    The latest entrant in the 125cc motorcycle segment, the Honda CB 125 Hornet, is already creating quite a buzz (pun fully intended). In a space crowded with sensible commuters, the Hornet stands out as a 125cc motorcycle with real street presence and a proper attitude.</p>

<p>Visually, the CB 125 Hornet is a stunner. It takes design inspirations from its bigger Hornet siblings. Its sharp lines, muscular bodywork, and a purposeful stance can easily make you mistake it for a 200cc or even a 250cc machine. The gold-anodised USD fork, sculpted fuel tank, contoured seat, and compact tail section further add to its premium appeal. The paint finish and build quality are top-notch – easily among the best we’ve seen from Honda in recent years. <p>Powering the CB 125 Hornet is a 124cc single-cylinder engine, which produces 11bhp and 11.2Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. On paper, these numbers may seem underwhelming, but on the road, the bike feels peppy, smooth, and responsive – exactly what you’d expect from an smart urban commuter. The throttle response is crisp, and the engine revs cleanly, making city commutes effortless and fun. At 124kg, the Hornet is light, agile, and quite flickable, making negotiating traffic or tight corners an easy affair.</p>

<p>During the timing runs at the BIC, the Hornet surprised us all by holding its own. It managed a lap time of 1:28.0, even edging out the more powerful Kawasaki KLX230 – an impressive feat for a 125cc commuter. Sure, it’s not built for the track, but it exhibited impressive poise, balance, and composure that exceeded expectations. The brakes are good enough to inspire confidence, and the chassis is tight and predictable, encouraging you to push harder. The CB 125 Hornet is going to shake things up in the sporty 125 cc commuter space, taking the fight to the likes of the TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R, both of which have done well in the Indian market. A 125 cc commuter showdown then is just what the doctor ordered. Time to make a few calls, then.</p>

<p>In the real world, all this means a motorcycle that’s not only fun to ride but also comfortable and practical. <p>At the end of the day, the Honda CB 125 Hornet makes a strong case for itself. It’s stylish, refined, well-equipped, and genuinely fun to ride. It might not be the fastest 125cc machine on the road, but it’s easily one of the most desirable. So, if you want a commuter that looks stylishly sharp, feels premium, and is relatively easy on the pocket, the CB Hornet 125 is the one to beat.

Honda CB 125 Hornet Wins Bike of the Year - autoX Awards 2025

Visually, the Honda CB 125 Hornet is a stunner. Its sharp lines, muscular bodywork, and a purposeful stance can easily make you mistake it for a 200cc or even a 250cc machine.

    The Activa is a well-known name in the scooter market, and deservedly so. After all, it has shattered various sales records for Honda. So, when Honda decided to launch an electric version of the Activa – the Activa e – we expected it to deliver on all fronts. However, that was not the case. It looks smart, feels solid, and oozes brilliant quality just like other Honda products, but beyond that, things begin to feel rather underwhelming.</p>

<p>The Activa e comes with two swappable batteries, which are designed well, and don’t weigh a lot. However, the problem is that they can’t be charged at home – there is no way to plug in and charge the scooter or the batteries. Now, considering the Activa e is not what you’d call a competitively priced offering, the added battery subscription makes things worse. Had it been priced close to ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom), the value equation would have made more sense.</p>

<p>The swappable battery setup also eats into the very thing most scooter buyers care about – storage. The under-seat storage space is minimal, leaving little room for storing everyday items. The suspension is also disappointing – it feels overly stiff for everyday city riding. And the odd weight distribution also makes it feel a bit nervous around corners. <p>On the plus side, its 7-inch digital instrument cluster is one of its best features. It’s not a touchscreen, but that’s not a problem at all, given how smooth and responsive its interface is. The buttons on the handlebar are also quite intuitive. The unit displays a wealth of information without cluttering the screen. The Activa e also comes with keyless operation, which is a nice touch; however, it’s more of a novelty than a real advantage.

Honda Activa e at autoX Awards: Best Bikes of 2025 Ranked

The Honda Activa e's 7-inch digital instrument cluster is one of its best features. It’s not a touchscreen, but that’s not a problem at all, given how smooth and responsive its interface is.

<p>Honda showcased its first-ever electric motorcycle at EICMA: the WN7 (Wind Naked 7). The first full-production,&nbsp;full-size electric motorcycle marks a major step in the company’s global shift toward electric mobility under its new EV branding. It features a compact, liquid-cooled electric&nbsp;motor with an integrated inverter, a frameless chassis, and a horizontal&nbsp;LED light bar (a feature that will be the identity of Honda's future e-bikes going forward). <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/honda/">Honda</a> will introduce its&nbsp;full-size electric flagship&nbsp;in a phased manner across select global markets.&nbsp;There is no official confirmation, but the WN7 is unlikely to arrive in India.&nbsp;</p><h2><strong>Honda WN7: Motor, Performance, and Charging</strong></h2><p>The WN7 packs a compact, liquid-cooled electric motor with an integrated inverter. The top 18 kW version produces 50kW (about 67bhp) and 100Nm. A fast charger can top up the battery from 20% to 80% in just about 30 minutes.&nbsp;The top speed stands at 129km/h for the top-end model.</p><h2><strong>Honda WN7: Chassis and Features</strong></h2><p>The WN7 ditches the conventional frame, using its centrally located aluminium battery as the structural core. Both the front head pipe and rear pivot bracket&nbsp;connect directly to this power unit, reducing weight and allowing a more compact design. With the battery mounted at the center, the bike gains concentrated mass and agile, precise handling.</p><p>The Honda WN7 comes fitted with premium hardware and rider-focused features. Up front, there’s a 43mm Showa USD fork, while the rear has a monoshock. Four selectable modes (Standard, Sport, Rain, and Econ),&nbsp;a deceleration selector on the left handlebar (enabling to choose the strength of regenerative&nbsp;braking from Level 0 to 3), and convenience features such as Forward/Reverse Walking&nbsp;Speed Mode for easy manoeuvring in tight spaces and Selectable Speed Limit Assist (SSLA)&nbsp;for increased safety, are among other notable features. </p>

<p>Japanese motorcycle giant Honda showcased a bunch of products at EICMA 2025, but the model that&nbsp;truly stole the spotlight was the all-new CB1000GT. Built on the robust and proven platform of the flagship CB1000 Hornet,&nbsp;the CB1000GT adds a mix of performance and touring comfort to Honda’s premium lineup. In India, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/honda/">Honda</a> already made headlines earlier this year by launching the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/honda/cb1000-hornet/">CB1000 Hornet SP</a> at a price of Rs 12.36 lakh (ex-showroom) in May 2025, paving the way for more high-performance models like the CB1000GT. Let's take a closer look&nbsp;at the brand-new offering from Honda,&nbsp;which combines sportbike aggression with true touring comfort and capability.</p><h2><strong>Honda CB1000GT: Design</strong></h2><p>The CB1000GT focuses on both aerodynamic&nbsp;efficiency and rider-focused comfort. The sharply angled front fairing directs airflow smoothly around the rider, while the contoured&nbsp;side panels and integrated pannier mounts add to the clean and&nbsp;purposeful stance. It also boasts a full-colour TFT display with Honda RoadSync, an adjustable windscreen, and a full suite of electronic aids, including Cornering ABS&nbsp;and multiple riding modes. <p><strong>Honda is about to re-enter the luxury sedan segment with the new Accord, and this time it’s a Hybrid. We find out what this Toyota Camry Hybrid rival is made of.</strong></p>

<p>The demand for entry-level luxury cars has always been erratic in India. Car makers have previously struggled to get the numbers that they would have liked. In fact, brands like Volkswagen and even Honda, were even forced to pull the Passat and the Accord off from the sales floor. And thanks to the entry of the German giants the segment has become even more jumbled. This year however, we have already seen Skoda introducing the Superb and Honda is now getting ready to launch the Accord Hybrid soon.</p>

<p>Now, Honda first introduced the Accord in India in 2001 and since then three generations of the car have been launched. This is the first time Honda is bringing in the Accord with a Hybrid powertrain. We take it for a short spin to tell you what it feels like from behind the wheel.</p>

<p>Honda announced its plans of launching the 2016 Accord Hybrid at the Auto Expo this year. Even when we saw it first, we loved the way the new Accord looks. Front three-quarter is probably the best angle to look at Luxury saloon from. The large bonnet smoothly leading into the bold chrome grille gives the Accord a muscular stance. Honda has gone berserk with LED lighting on this one using them in the headlights, Daytime Running Lamps, fog lamps and taillights. In profile the multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels make the car stand out. We loved the way the roof flows suavely from the c-pillar leading onto the boot. The rear however feels a lot understated in comparison to the rest of the design.</p>

<p>On the inside the dual tone dashboard is neatly designed and gets faux wood inserts. Quality of plastics is good but the overall finish in certain parts could have been better, especially considering the segment it falls into. Taking the centre stage is a large 7-inch central touchscreen infotainment system which responds to inputs well. Above it sits another screen that shows feed from the camera on the left ORVM. This unique LaneWatch feature can either be activated when the turn signal is engaged or can even be kept on permanently. Aside front this the screen also displays navigation and phone options.</p>

<p>The 2016 Honda Accord comes with leather upholstery that gives it an air of luxury. Finding the right driving position is easy thanks to the electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function. Co-pilot seat is electrically adjustable too with switches on the shoulder for the rear passenger. Seats are extremely comfortable and well bolstered. Rear seat is the best place to be in if you are the kind that is chauffeured around. That being said, the Accord can only seat 4 in ease.</p>

<p>Featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the infotainment is teamed up with a seven speaker 360-watt system. Other features include automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, keyless entry, button start, one-touch sunroof and more. Another extremely convenient feature the Accord Hybrid comes with is that the key fob allows you to remotely start cooling down the cabin. The cooling automatically shuts if you don't get to the car in 10 minutes. This, we thought was the coolest feature in the Accord Hybrid, well, quite literally.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the new Accord Hybrid is an intense piece of machinery. It sports an Atkinson cycle 2.0-litre petrol powerplant that makes 143bhp at 6,200rpm and peak torque of 175Nm at 4,000rpm. Aside from the gasoline powerplant, the Accord is fitted with a propulsion motor to drive the wheels and a generator motor to create electricity. Driven by Intelligent Power Unit, the propulsion motor is placed behind the rear seat. While the max power from the propulsion motor is 181bhp the overall output is 212bhp.</p>

<p>So how well does all of this power translate to the road? The Accord Hybrid comes with three different modes. In the Pure EV mode, as the name rightly suggests, the car runs on the electric motor. The Hybrid mode makes use of the propulsion motor to keep it going as the engine helps in charging the battery. There is also an EV button right next to the gear lever which allows the car to be driven only in the EV mode until it runs out of juice.</p>

<p>While the figures might not suggest much, the joint venture between the petrol powerplant and the electric motors helps the Accord in being sprightly. That being said, rev it close to its red line and the car tends to growl and show its discomfort. Like all other Honda offerings, the engine feels absolutely smooth and the E-CVT shifts seamlessly too. As you start the car and roll off, it is in the EV mode, it shifts to Hybrid mode in low-to mid-speeds. At high speeds the Accord Hybrid depends on the Engine mode. Transitions between these modes is smooth.</p>

<p>We sampled the Accord Hybrid on the Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad. The route had some uneven surfaces and bumps which the car evened out with utmost ease. The route that was set for us didn't have any twisties so we will have to hold back our comments until we get the car for a detailed test. To ensure that the cabin remains silent, the new Accord features Active Noise Control (ANC) which helps in counteract engine noise.</p>

<p>Honda is all set to launch the Accord Hybrid in India. It quite an impressive car this – it looks the part, has enough space and more, comes loaded with gadgets and has a pretty refined powertrain. The biggest drawback for the Accord, however, is its entry via the CBU route when rival Toyota Camry Hybrid is locally assembled. With that in mind, and not to forget that this segment has representatives from the German houses, Honda will have to price it aggressively when they launch it later this month.</p>
