<p>After a long wait, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/hyundai/">Hyundai</a> has finally launched the third-generation i20 today. The Korean carmaker commenced bookings for the premium hatchback a little over a week ago. The i20 has now been launched in four variants – Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O) – which will be available across multiple engine and transmission combinations. The prices of the i20 start at Rs 6.79 lakh for the base Magna trim with the 1.2-litre petrol heart. The top-end i20 with the turbo petrol heart and DCT demands Rs 11.17 lakh. <p>With the i20 officially launched, we finally have the interior details of the car. Earlier, Hyundai had only shared a rendered image of the interior. Thankfully, the production version carries forward much of its design traits. The steering wheel has been borrowed from the Venue and the Creta, and taking centre stage is a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, fully-loaded with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. <p>Under the hood, the i20 now comes with three engine options, same as the Venue. It gets a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol heart, which is good for 82bhp and 114Nm. This engine&nbsp;comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and iVT automatic (CVT). There’s also a 1.5-litre turbo diesel on offer, which develops 99bhp and 240Nm. The diesel is only offered with a 6-speed manual to start with. At the top of the variant range, the i20 also get a 1.0-litre 118bhp/172Nm turbo petrol, which comes paired with Hyundai’s latest 6-speed iMT as well as a 7-speed&nbsp;DCT.&nbsp;</p>
