Hyundai Sonata
Change CarHyundai Sonata Preview
Hyundai redesigned the Sonata for 2018 bringing it in line with the rest of their products in terms of design and features. Up front the sedan gets the ‘cascading grille’ that endows it with an aura of luxury. On either side of the grille, the bumper has been cut out to house horizontal stacked LED fog lamps. The headlamps are the LED kind too. The design continues to be sharp along the sides and at the back too. The new Hyundai Sonata has also been fitted with a new set of allow wheels. Like all Hyundai cars on offer, expect this one to be loaded with features too.
The change isn’t just cosmetic, Hyundai engineers have also worked on the chassis to improve the Sonata’s handling dynamics. The torsion bar has been stiffened by 12 percent to give it better steering feel. The rear suspension has been made stiffer too. In the international market, the Sonata comes with a range of engine options to choose from – right from a 1.6-litre twin-turbo pushing out 178 horses to a 245bhp 2.0-litre twin turbo. There’s also a 2.4-litre inline-four churning out 185bhp on offer.
The 2018 Hyundai Sonata holds its own against the likes of the Skoda Superb, Volkswagen Passat, Toyota Camry and the likes.
