Fuel indicator not working
I got my Alto back from the workshop after regular servicing. While driving back home, suddenly the fuel meter needle went to zero. Every other meter is working properly. Also got the fuel checked in the car, it was still there. Will get it checked
at the workshop soon.
Water inside the headlights
My car is only one-year-old and already I have noticed some rust spots on the door edges. This used to be a problem on very old cars but sadly, Maruti is doing a lot of cost cutting it seems. I will have to get the doors repainted in order to stop
the rusting from spreading further.
Car is not durable
A dog collided with my car while driving on the highway. I was driving only at 70 kmph and still, the impact broke the front bumper and grille completely. One headlight is also cracked. This means Alto parts are very weak and are not strong enough
for heavy crashes. Disappointed.
Good value for money
Vibrations and noises still there
Problem in AMT gearbox
For the past few days, the car automatically comes into neutral while driving. I put it back into ‘D’ and then again, after a few minutes, the same thing happens. I cannot figure out if the gearbox is faulty or there is some wiring issue. Have
to get it to the workshop as soon as possible.
Faulty window motor
After 10-15 days of buying and using my Alto, the left window stopped working completely. The local mechanic informed that the switch and relay are functioning properly and so the motor needs to be checked. Workshop informed that the there was a
fault in the motor and so they changed it under warranty. However, I had to leave the car at the workshop for three days as the part was not in stock.
Space is not good
Not fit for highway driving
Old steering problem
Decent space, bad seats
Automatic gears are good
Fantastic car, Maruti needs to make more cars like this
I totally agree that the K10 is a great car. A perfect pocket rocket. Great performance and efficiency. I have had my car for 5 years and it is absolutely reliable and problem free. I live in the hills and conditions can get demanding, but the K10
soldiers on without any fuss. Maruti needs to make great small cars like this and the Zen once again!
The Alto K10 fits my budget and I feel it is a great car all around. Just that its too ugly from the outside, when will Maruti take out a new and better looking K10? I have the money but can’t bring myself to buy this car. And there is no
Greatest compact automatic car
I have the K10 AMT and its very convenient to drive in the city. Even better than some bigger automatic hatchbacks I tried. Mileage is very nice too as the engine is frugal. In engineering terms, it must be quite a task to balance efficiency and
performance, but Maruti Suzuki deserves full credit on this.
Great car for its price
Great little car. Does everything you ask it to and more. The ride is quite comfortable and performance is good. I especially like the stereo in the VXi model, it sounds really good. The interiors are also very nice in the current car and feels like
a more expensive car. I think Maruti has improved the car’s comfort over the first one. It just doesn’t look as nice from the outside.
Great original, poor second model
I own the previous Alto K10 and I can’t stress how much I love the little car. The engine is so good and it offers such great performance that there is little else that can keep up with it. It sounds great too, with a very inspiring engine
note. The first generation K10 also looks quite decent. And it handles decently too. It is very stable on highways as well, just that high speed stability under braking could be better. My only complaint is that Maruti should have offered more features on the VXi model, such as rear defogger and wash wipe.
Would I buy the new Alto K10? Nope, it looks too ugly.
I think it should be the cheapest automatic
I think it should be the cheapest automatic car presently in India, it is light agile and easy to maneuver in city traffic, K10 is a premium version of Alto but it doesn’t have much extra features as I expected like blue tooth is missing and
audio sound quality is just average, there is no adjustable headrest although rear seat knee room is better than previous model, dashboard design is combined with light fabrics, brakes perform well but it should also be offered with ABS for better safety.
