2016 TVS Scooty Pep Plus launched

TVS Scooty Pep Plus gets a mild makeover in the 2016 model. 

In what appears to be a low-key affair, TVS has launched the 2016 Scooty Pep Plus in the market. Aimed mainly at the fairer sex, the new Scooty Pep Plus has been priced at Rs 43,534 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Updates on the new scooter are mainly cosmetic in nature, meaning it gets new shades and stickers on the body. TVS will be offering the scooter in 4 different variants which include Ecosmart Series (Nero Silver, Nero Blue), Starlet Series (Frosted Black, Dazzling Blue, Vivacious Purple, Sassy Pink, Gorgeous Grey), White N Whacky Series (Perky Pink, Passion Purple, Blush Red) and Babelicious Series (Princess Pink).

Powering the 2016 TVS Scooty Pep Plus is the company’s new “Ecothrust” 87.8 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is rated at 4.9bhp and delivers 5.8Nm of torque. Power transmission duties are done by a CVT automatic. It also gets two riding modes namely, Economy and Power, so as to help you choose between efficiency and performance. The ARAI certified fuel economy of 2016 Scooty Pep Plus is 65km/l.

Braking power comes from 110 mm drum brakes at the front and rear. The scooter weighs 95 kilograms and has a fuel tank capacity of 5 litres. Five year extended warranty is optional on the scooter.
