Triumph is serving the 2021 Speed Twin while it’s hot – the new modern classic has been listed on the official India website, and the company has already commenced pre-bookings for it across authorised dealerships.

The updated Triumph Speed Twin for the model year 2021 (MY21) made its global appearance last week. And now, Triumph India has started accepting bookings for the new Speed Twin, clearing indicating that the updated model will most certainly land on Indian shores in the coming weeks. Triumph has listed the motorcycle on its official India website, and the 2021 Speed Twin can be pre-booked for a token amount of Rs 50,000 across all authorised dealerships network. The 2021 Triumph Speed Twin is expected to be priced in the Rs 9.5 – 10.5 lakh (ex-showroom) range.

The motorcycle will be offered in three colour schemes – Red Hopper, Matt Storm Grey with subtle yellow accents, and Jet Black. We strongly suspect that Triumph is likely to offer a special edition model along with the standard one.

The MY21 Speed Twin continues to sport the modern classic design of its predecessor and gets anodised headlamp mounts and mudguards on both ends. The motorcycle gets graphics on the tank and model branding on the side panels. The instrument cluster continues with a twin-pod design with a part-digital and part-analogue setup.

Internationally, Triumph offers over 50 accessories with the motorcycle for an extra cost. Expect them to be on offer in India as well when the motorcycle goes on sale. The accessories include heated grips, sump guard, engine protectors, luggage mounting equipment, and more.

The motorcycle has the same 1200cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, but it has undergone some rework. The tweaked engine produces 3bhp more than its predecessor. The peak torque of 112Nm comes in at 4,250rpm – 500rpm earlier than before – and the peak power of 98.6bhp is attained at 7,250rpm, which is 500rpm later in the rev-band than the previous model.
