Ducati, the Italian two-wheeler maker, has unveiled for the international market the sportiest edition of their adventure-tourer, the Multistrada V4. The new Ducati Multistrada V4 RS offers significant enhancements over the existing Multistrada V4 variants. In particular, the bike's core has seen the most significant development. At its heart, the new V4 RS gets the Desmosedici Stradale unit instead of the Granturismo V4 motor, which is found in the other versions of the adventure-tourer. The new Multistrada's engine produces 177bhp at 12250rpm and 118Nm at 9500rpm, which is 11bhp greater but 7Nm lesser than the Granturismo V4. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and includes Ducati's STM Evo-SBK dry clutch. Furthermore, the bike comes with a bi-directional quickshifter. Let's take a closer look at other features of this sportier version of the Ducati Multistrada V4.

The adventure bike's new sportier edition features a carbon-fibre front fender, beak, and hand guards. A split-seat configuration with an 'RS' badge, a fresh titanium subframe, four power modes (Full, High, Medium, and Low), four ride modes (Race, Sport, Touring, and Urban), traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, 17-inch Marchesini forged aluminum wheels, and more are other notable features.

2024 Ducati Multistrada V4 RS: Hardware

Ducati has made significant improvements to the chassis of the new RS model. It receives a titanium rear subframe for enhanced robustness and weight savings. According to Ducati, this architecture makes the V4 RS the lightest fourth-generation Multistrada ever. With a dry weight of 211kg, the motorcycle is approximately 3kg lighter than the Pikes Peak edition.

The motorcycle's suspension setup consists of 48mm Ohlins totally adjustable front forks with titanium nitride (TIN) and an Ohlins TTX36 fully adjustable monoshock in the back. The Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 offers comprehensive suspension electrical adjustment. At the back of the new ADV is a single-sided aluminum swingarm. The V4 RS has dual 330mm discs in front with Brembo Stylema monobloc four-piston callipers and a single 265mm disc in the rear with a Brembo floating callipers for braking.

The bike has 17-inch front and rear wheels, which are approximately 2.7kg lighter than the conventional Multistrada model's 19-inch wheels. These wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres measuring 120/70-17 in the front and 190/55-17 in the rear.

2024 Ducati Multistrada V4 RS: Features List

The new RS model features a 6.5-inch TFT display with navigation, screen mirroring, and RS graphics that control all bike operations. Cornering ABS, wheelie control, traction control, and radar Adaptive Cruise Control are among the other features. The model has an adjustable seat height that ranges from 840mm to 860mm and a low seat height option that decreases the seat height between 810mm and 830mm.
