2024 KTM 390 Adventure Variants Spotted Together Ahead of India Launch

Austrian bikemaker KTM is working on the next-generation 390 Adventure bike, which has been spotted on multiple occasions. However, for the first time, the Enduro version has been spied on in India, revealing a few key details. Likely to be called the 390 Adventure R, the Enduro will be the more affordable and off-road-focused variant of the standard ADV. Going by the spy shots, the KTM 390 Enduro will feature a single-piece LED headlamp setup with no windscreen, whereas the standard variant of the ADV spotted alongside the Enduro version will get vertically stacked projector dual projectors with signature LED daytime running lights, sleek LED turn indicators, and sharp tank extensions. The regular version will additionally have a transparent windscreen, likely to be taller than that of the outgoing model. 

While the standard ADV will get a wider, single-piece contoured unit, the Enduro model will come with a flat seat. The former will also get half-fairing and split grab-rails. But, the commonalities between the two variants will likely include a tall beak, an engine crash guard, a bash plate, and a side fender design similar to the bigger ADVs.

Hardware-wise, both motorcycles were seen with an upside-down fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking hardware will likely comprise a disc on either end, accompanied by switchable ABS. In terms of wheel size, the standard version will sport 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels with Metzeler Tourance tyres, whereas the Enduro will receive 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels with Reise trailR tyres.

In terms of features, you can expect the bikes to offer a digital TFT screen with smartphone compatibility, traction control, ABS modes, and ride modes.

Powering the next-generation KTM 390 Adventure will be a 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that also does duty in the KTM 390 Duke. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, the engine makes 45bhp and 39Nm of peak torque. The engine will get a bi-directional quickshifter.

2024 KTM 390 Adventure, 390 Enduro: Price, Rivals

The price of the new KTM 390 Adventure will likely be around Rs 3.50 lakh, while the 390 Enduro version could set you back by Rs 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, the flagship ADV will compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan, the BMW G 310 GS, and the Yezdi Adventure.
