The Dominar 400 now gets a 350cc engine, helping Bajaj pass on the 18% GST benefit and making the bike more affordable for buyers in India.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 has been launched in India with a 350cc engine and a price of Rs 2.03 lakh. This displacement change allows the motorcycle to qualify for an 18 per cent GST rate, whereas engines exceeding 350cc incur a 40 per cent tax. The 350cc engine comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch, and that’s a combo most riders will appreciate. Gear shifts should feel smoother, and the slipper clutch will take some stress out of hard downshifts, especially when you are riding fast or dealing with traffic. It’s the kind of setup that makes a difference when you spend long hours on the saddle.

Sarang Kanade, President - MCBU, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said: 'Dominar has always stood for our touring DNA - powerful, capable, and built for the long road. With the new Dominar 400 with 350cc engine we are staying true to that promise while making it significantly more accessible. Riders get the same Dominar experience they love, but now with a much lower cost of ownership, including meaningful savings. This is a decisive step towards democratizing touring and sports motorcycling in India.'

Underneath, Bajaj has kept the perimeter frame, which has always given the Dominar its stable feel. The upside-down front forks and rear monoshock continue unchanged, and that’s not a bad thing. This setup has proven itself on highways and rough patches, keeping the bike steady without making it uncomfortable.
Braking is handled by discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard. That’s expected in this segment and does its job well when you need to slow down quickly. The LED headlamp and indicators are part of the package too, helping with visibility during night rides and early morning runs.
The bike gets a digital instrument cluster that shows the usual data like speed, RPM, and fuel levels, along with a secondary display on the fuel tank for trip details. With this update, Bajaj is clearly trying to bring more riders into the Dominar lineup by offering a lower price, while still keeping the bike relevant for touring and everyday riding.
